Its an old show, there rerun it everynow and then. These shows will never last. The start off on the right foot, then towards the end they touch the outside of the car and all hell breaks loose.
This show was cool because of the swap and up grades on both cars. But it never fails. Never. They always have to put a body kit on a car. Along with big goofy stickers. The shows are coming along, one day they'll get it right. The one show I did like was the MTV true life I'm a street racer. These were actual people working on their cars and racing them. I thought it was a cool show. DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

it ended up them building a girls civic and a guys talon tsi then the night beforethe race she posted her whole setup online and the other team saw it and knew what to do to whip her ass. Apex guys were all pissed at her, hahahahaha comedy. -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

I have the episode of true life - im a street racer.. on my computer. It's tons better than those rice racer shows on discovery. But i do like the episode where they raced the First gen DSM (talon) against a DOHC civic SI that they turbo'd. Dsm was on stock internals and turbo... they just put a 150 shot of nitrous on the DSM and it blew the friggin turbo civic outta the water.... hehe.. i laughed for hours. Piss on honda's

oh that one, with the fix up comp. yeah I have seen it, not a bad show but kinda dumb, I do like the concept of it a lot, however they could have gone about it a little better, and why would you go around telling everyone about your car the night before you gata raice it on tv, or at all really, I dont like telling people what I really have because it only makes me more worried someone is gana wana steal it.
also like that they picked 2 very uneven cars, a civic si vs a awd talon (even an old one) is really not much of a race if there at all fixed up. -------------------- |

QUOTE(creis @ Nov 1, 2005 - 8:04 PM) also like that they picked 2 very uneven cars, a civic si vs a awd talon (even an old one) is really not much of a race if there at all fixed up. well the older talons are lighter and the motors are stronger in the block except the 2g Pistons are a little better. the body is decent looking and its quick theres no way the civic had a chance. even if the honda had twice the hp he couldnt launch like the talon could and they only pulled 1/8th mile not 1/4 so the honda's hp never had a chance to catch up. -------------------- 94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.

i remember that they put slicks on both cars
the talon also snapped an axel. plus it was an 1/8 mile track. even with the slicks, the civic was at a disadvantage. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
