Hey, I was driving around the other day, and my car grinded to a stop. I looked under the car and seen a huge puddle of transmission fluid. I got the car home and jacked it up and seen a quarter size hole in the bottom of the transmission. The only thing that I did was chip second gear once about two hours before. If anyone knows what might have happened or have happened to someone else please let me know. I got a picture of it in my profile.

Something hit it maybe? A big rock or something? I've got a transmition if you need one now.

I'm almost positive that something busted through from the inside, I did not hit anything at all, and nothing bounced up

is this in the celica or the TSI ?

only way to tell what happened is to take it off and look inside.

If it's for a 94 GT, I have a transmition that will work. It has to be a 2.2 liter Toyota. It'll fit all Toyota's with the 2.2 5sfe engine.

to find out what it was from inside would be to strip the tranny .... and find any part that is broken ...

On SHO trannys, it's fairly common for the diff pin to shear and tear a hole in the tranny. It's known as the "ventilated tranny mod" biggrin.gif

I've never heard of it happening on a Toyota tranny though.
