Is it even possible to burn out, with a 1995 GT with an automatic tranny? IF so how? Put e-brake on and give it gas? (1995 GT totaly stock)

(1995 GT totaly stock) i have an auto st and have gotten wheels to spin before but i wouldnt advise it. a sustained burnout i dont think is possible. just hold the brake, rev it up to about 3500 or so, and release the brake. you dont need to use the ebrake. however this is somewhat hard on the tranny, try at your own risk. o and like purple said, do not rev in neutral then drop into gear This post has been edited by celicaST: Oct 19, 2005 - 6:59 PM -------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

neutral drop = death! and no i was toying with the idea of if its possible to do it, like weather ud use the e-brake or what. and im talking a somewhat sustained burn out. Not like smoke everywhere, like just spining the tires. -------------------- Kawi Love |

i have an auto st pretty much stock and i peel out in different ways. never do the neutral bomb. lol. thats what we call it here. at a stop, i hold the brake in hard and give it gas at the same time and let it rev as high as it can till it wont let me anymore then completely let off the gas. or at a stop pull the e-brake, rev up a bit and let the ebrake go. i know these both are bad for your brakes. or when pulling out of a parking lot, reverse out slowly and put that **** on drive and floor it. or my favorite because it's easiest for me. while it's raining, just floor it from a stop. it's easy as hell to peel out when you're on the street paint. like the big white strip at a stop sign. put your front tires right on the white paint and just floor it. on the rain doing that, you'll be peeling there for quite a little while. its fun. so the easiest is on the white paint while its wet and you can pull the e-brake to peel longer and just let the ebrake go when you want to stop peeling. i think the gt should be easier to do cuz it is with my moms old camry(92-96)5s-fe. so since the celi's lighter, im sure it'll be easier.

so foot on brake, and rev or sustain higher rpm.
wont the tires in the front not move, if u hold down the foot brake? E-brake is on the rear tires right? isnt taht more effective?? I know about when its wet, i do it just for fun, cuz its wet u have like no friction so i just gass it and make lots of noise lol -------------------- Kawi Love |

yeah, foot on brake to the point so that when you press the gas down it wont move. then you floor the gas as you have your foot on the brake(again, the car is still because you're holding the brakes). it's bad on your front brakes because you're trying to accelerate but holding the calipers down so that it wont. so at this point you should have your foot on the brake and the gas floored. mine only lets me get to 2500-3000rpms. at that point, it wont rev up anymore. so let off the brake quickly and you should be flooring so it'll take off quick and should peel. i said wat i said about the ebrake because im sure it takes off some stress off the front brakes. yeah, the e-brake is connected to your rear brakes.

I could give you my old crappy dayton tires that that car came with. You could burn out with those on any day....you also risked your life in the wet but you gotta break a couple eggs.
