i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

That $550 for E153 is a NON-LSD transmission. I bought my 93+ LSD for $900

205 mounts don't work.

FMIC not NEEDED but highly reccomended.

axles cost me 100.00 (GT's)

spec clutch is reccomended. mine cost just under 400. good for 420tq.

*my swap*
i needed an electronic speed sensor (still do!)

when ordering motor mounts, make sure you get the brackets for example, i have the right tranny (from a 92) and the mount (1995GT) wouldnt bolt to the tranny w/o the 1995 GT bracket under it.

do all maintance and repair you could before you stick it back into the car. water pump and timing belt should be at the top of that list! my belt was very brittle and starting to shred.

a good helper! def. a must have..

i will add more when it comes to mind!

What do you mean the ST205 mounts don't work? I did a ton of research on this and that's what I though the conclusion was. Which mounts work?

205 mounts work for E153.
204 mounts work with S54

Alternator tension bracket only necesary if you buy the engine without an alternator.

Or if you buy an MR2T clip to get the transmission too.

timing belt
water pump and gasket
rear main seal
hose from hell
hose from hell on earth
valve cover gasket
consider new valve cover bolts from twosRus, because the stock screws just come loose and leak tons of oil.
new axel seals for the tranny

hose from hell is the small coolant hose thats right behind the downpipe, and hell on earth is the rubber hose that goes to the oil cooler.

they got that nick name from the mr2 guys, cause they normally leak at around 100,000miles and u have to take off the downpipe and sometimes even the turbo just to get to it.
