So I walk into work this morning, and check my work email, then my regular email. In my regular email there is one from a close friend telling me that one of my really good friends from high school got killed last night by a drunk driver. Apparently, she was on her way home from a friends house, and some drunk a-shole ran a redlight and rammed right into the drivers side of her car, killing her instantly.
And then I come to 6GC.net and see some dipsh-t post a topic about how he was pulled over by the cops.. and let go even though he had been drinking. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN DRIVING IN THE FIRST PLACE? Whyyyy do people do this?! Do you not see that driving after drinking or getting drunk can kill someone? Someone completely innocent! Someone who did not deserve it. And to have the audacity to come here and post that you were drunk while driving without a care in the world.. like it doesn't even matter. What is wrong with you people? -------------------- |

Sorry to hear about your freind Jen, thats awful. I understand how you feel, cos a good friend of mine died through much the same kind of accident, a few years ago.
I totally agree with you though, why would you drive if you were drinking all night ? I read the post on here you were talking about and thought much the same. In my mind, the person concerned in that post deserved to be locked up and lose their licence - not come on here and brag that they got away with it - fukin idiot ! Well lets hope if they do it again, they meet the cops and get what they deserve. Use your brain for fuks sake, if your pissed you can barely walk, talk or function right, how you gonna drive !? And I agree 100%, 2 years ago my girlfriend was in critical condition after her and her dad got into a similar accident then what your friend did, she had a couple of broken bones, It was the worst 2 days of my life, and after that I declared war on people like that, Its funny because they get all happy that they got away with it, wen really the shouldve been locked up for life for doing something so stupid in the first place...... sorry if i got a little carried away, but its true, People lose ppl they love from stupid accidents like this and it piss's me off.... in no way am i sticking up for drunk drivers but sometimes when your stupid drunk you think theres no other option but to drive. We need to have people around us who are real friends and say NO UR NOT DRIVING. but many times those people are drunk themselves :-( -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

Sorry Jen, that sucks. And Natalie yes there's ALWAYS an option not to drive, sleep in your damned car. The fact that you need someone to tell you that you're not driving shows your immaturity... That ridiculous.... Sorry Jen, Driving drunks should lose their license on the spot, no questions asked. And locked up

Ok i didnt say i need someone to tell me not to drive..i was saying there are people who get drunk and think they are invincible and are irrational.
You have obviously not had an alcoholic who was close to you. and how bout you reread what i said no way am i sticking up for drunk drivers but sometimes when your stupid drunk you think theres no other option but to drive. We need to have people around us who are real friends and say NO UR NOT DRIVING. but many times those people are drunk themselves :-( I have myself been in the situation where i had some drinks and drove and i probably shouldnt admit that cuz im sure ill get flamed but my friend was as tipsy as me and was like "ill tell you if ur driving bad" we were both incapacitated and didnt know better! and i dont even drink now unless i know for sure i can spend the night where im at. i had an alcoholic father and a brother that was going down that road and its scary This post has been edited by BlackCelicaGT94: Oct 20, 2005 - 4:11 PM -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

Sorry about what has happend. We all need to do our part in stopping drunk driving. My uncle hit and killed someone when he was drunk. He's out of jail now, and he's not a bad guy, but I kind of wish he was still in there. 10 years is all he got. 10 years is a long time though. I'll vote for stricter drunk driving punishments any day.

sorry to hear that. same thing happened to my neighbor. kid is like 19-20. was with his friend. they were both drunk and drugged up. my neighbor was doing 120 around a curve, lost control, hit a light post. car split in 3?... the passenger died instantly. my neighbor is still living the normal life it seems. cops went over to question him once but he aint going to jail. just pay all the damages as far as the light post to the electric company and everything else but the parents of the passenger didnt press charges or anything. as far as i kno he aint going to jail at all. **** happens. that's what he told me. he was ****ed up pretty bad tho. split his head open, had some big screw looking things to fix his fractured arms or whatever. crazy stuff. i drive by the crash area everyday to work and school and you still see the oil all over the floor and the things his friends put up there. sad stuff.
