I'm working on getting all the needed part for the 5sgte project
and I just need to get the coolant lines and the acqure a MAP sensor. Could anyone who's done this give some more detail on how they ran water lines or whatever to the ct-26. I'm a little confused on these lines other than the oil ones. |

Dude if your gonna do a 5sgte i think you are gonna need a little more than a map sensor if you want it to run good.... you will need a standalone.
As for the coolant line just run piping fron the oil filter cooler... like making a sercuit.... what parts have you got for your project so far... -------------------- 312whp with more to come.... |

i have the 3s manifold, intercooler, and a ct-26 in working order. Also a
downpipe, oil lines, piping. couplers, clamps, gaskets for everything, and 7mgt injectors. Was thinking about the boost controller pressure2 got and that hks bov as well. I'm not trying to break the bank here. I just want the essentials and low boost till I can afford to get real serious. aka another year or so. |

Oh yeah, and the lines!?
I though people were tapping off some lines comming from the throttle body? Are brass T fittings ok to use? |

yes, you can use brass T's to tap into the coolant lines to the TB for turbo cooling. the 7mgTe injectors will not work you need NA supra, 315cc. they are small, you can only run VERY low boost with them. better to get a set of 440cc ones. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

um.. really not trying to be a dick here... but don't you also need the 3sgte head and intake manifold for the 5sgte? to me 5sgte would mean a hybrid between the 5sfe and 3sgte, sounds like what your building is a 5sfte. IDK maybe you guys changed the names of everything since I have been gone

If I remember correctly, he's using the 3S-GTE head with a 3S-GTE turbo manifold, a CT-26 and a few other goodies to essentially make it a big bore 3S-GTE.

Yeah I do have the na injectors I guess i just typed 7mgt on accident. But im just running low boost for now. And yes it is more like a 5sfte but that is just harder to say.
hahaha.. jk. I've read a thread somewhere in my searching that the 3s head takes some decent modification to work on the 5s block. They are just a different setup, but the exhast manifold fits which makes turboing a little easier. Thanks for the reassurance on the TB lines. Pressure2 did you just use 3/8" radiator hose? I see three lines comming from the TB as well..?? Does your ct-27 handle oil and coolant the same as the 26? It looks like your oil feed hole in the 27 is blocked off? |
