Does anyone here have a computer set up in their car to play music? Im thinking of setting up a computer in my car to play mp3's. Also one idea I had was to set up a PDA with a wireless connection to the computer so that it would be like a remote. Anyone have any idea if this is possible and how i could go about doing it?

It's a pretty feasible thing to do, look in that link posted to the other thread and look at mp3car.com it's a good site. I'm actually going to start my setup this weekend. I have a Toshiba Libretto laptop (itty bitty laptop, almost would fit where the head unit is). My remote is going to be a wireless gyroscopic mouse, but your PDA idea sounds pretty cool and with some wireless and remote desktop software is very do-able.

I have the exact set up.
Ipaq mounted in just below my shifter, wired to my dell ltop in my glovebox.
and yes it works. Im currently using a program on the computer and ipaq which i made. and it works great.
there are other programs out on the market aswell.

The few things you have to worry about is,A: how the computer holds up to the abuse of your ride. B: The weather, Like hot much it changes hot to cold, damaging not just the computer but the screen. C: Making sure your computer is plenty ventalated. D: Make sure you have enough power to run it, maybe get atleast a yellowtop batt.
