hey i have just installed a 7AFE engine with wire harness and ecu into my toyota car. the engine is manual with gear box but the ecu i am using is an automatic ecu..i did some upgrades to this engine like porting, headers, exhaust, air intake and its working real good...however i feel the acceleration and power more when the car exceeds 4000rpm but then the ecu has a limiter at 5800rpm...is there anyway i can get rid of this limiter so that i can get to rev more...i had a few drag races already and i won some toyota levin which has a 4AGE 20Valve engine..however some cars beat me cuz they get to rev to higher rpms...is there anyone who knows what i should do to resolve this problem?

When it comes to automatics, its pretty hard to fool the ECU, cause it works in conjuction with the automatic tranny. So it would be great to rev higher, but I don't think your gears will shift up when you want it to. Somebody back this up! rolleyes.gif
