OK lets just hear some ideas that you guys have out there.
My ideas.... Location: Middle of the country Date: Next summer number of days: at least two If this were to ever happen, we would need 100% confirmation from everyone that would come. Meaning pay to play, a required deposit. Once you show up the deposit is returned to you. lets here some location ideas I dont want to read about how this will not happen, I want to read about how it could happen. Check you negativity at the door. Thanks, DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

I think this is too ambitious. Perhaps start with an east coast meet in NC or something.

a US Celica meet would be good. The center of the US is in about Kansas or so. If most members are either east coast or west coast, then we are all looking at a 1-2 days of driving each way.
we need a show of hands, who would do it ? -------------------- |

I would do it. I think you should aim more toward the ohio / kentucky / tennesee area though. You wont have too many west coasters cross the rockies even if you have it in Kansas. My vote is the Dragon in Tennessee and do it in June.

Heres my problem - very weary about driving so far in a car with so many parts which "dont belong."

I also think that the folks from alltrac.net, celicatech.com, newcelica.org and other Celica owners should be invited to increase turnout.

I'm interested! I've always been interested in something like this.
100% here. I remember in the old celica.net days.. there was an Orlando meet (which I did not attend).. and they rented a house for the weekend. What about something like that? (Maybe just for the 6gc people if there is a huge huge huge turnout)? This post has been edited by Jen: Oct 24, 2005 - 9:40 PM -------------------- |

I'm in 100%. My car loves long trips.
Lets see what some of the west coasters say. If we cant get any members to come from the west, I'll agree with Jay. I'd love to attend a huge toyota meet. -------------------- I will return one day. |

amecia is foking HUGE. i think a better idea would be to do an all east coast and a 2nd all west coast meet. if we get the mr2, supra, 7th gen , etc...guys into it, it would still be an amazingly large meet.

id be interested in that.
my suggestion. Myrtle Beach. the probe forum im on has a meet in November every year. been doing it for 8 years now. all probes. we get people from cali flyin in for it and driving over for it. its a great time. there is a show also. trophys, food, fun and prizes. We even have a state meet/show called Hocking Hills(HH2k5). get people from califlyin in also. just a suggestion. even though it isn't center of the country. -------------------- Jared Harwell

Jeff, you know I would do it man. Actually a security deposit of sorts is a good way to assure that people will show up and have a good turnout. I like the idea, however its all in the interest and execution/organization of it all IMO.

Depending on how far i'd be in... I don't get to go to many celica meets in the NC area so i'd love to see some of your guys' rides and meet some of you!
