I used to live in SoCal, and you can make the drive to Kansas City in 2 days easily. One time I did it in 36 hours with 6 hours sleep, plus time to eat and rest a bit, but that sucked. From here Ohio is a hard day's drive, straight down I-70.
Anyone from the west coast can get to KC from I-70. Anyone from the east coast can get to KC from I-70. Via mapquest, mileage is as follows: Seattle to KC: 1870 miles, 26 hours, 37 minutes San Diego to KC: 1680 miles, 24 hours, 16 minutes NYC to KC: 1191 miles, 19 hours, 10 minutes Charlotte, NC to KC: 975 miles, 15 hours, 13 minutes Washinton, DC to KC: 1075 miles, 17 hours, 0 minutes I think that Denver or Colorado Springs would be too far for some east coast guys to drive, especially the ones in New England. Plus, I think that we need to have the meet somewhere where there is a member of the board so that they can make arrangements. My .02 cents. -------------------- |

Word. Lets do this. Cmon everyone. There's a lot of people wanting to go to KC. but only four votes for KC whats the prob? I mean if we get everyone to just agree to go. We can do this. I'll even bring a cooler full of Deer steaks, and Jerky and hamburgers and hotdogs. We all buy hotdogs and burgers to take up there and we will all be good. for a nice little BBQ

Lots to do, and some great photo opportunities with the skyline in the background, as well. 97lestyousay, why such hate for the Chiefs? After all, they are better than the Seahawks I would definitely be willing to help make arrangements seeing as I live in the area also. This would be an awesome meet. Sweeeeet. Where do you live? edit: n/m I saw you have JoCo plates We should meet up sometime to discuss matters, pending they want the meet here. I am also prone to having a central, east, and west meet. See how those go and maybe have a national meet the year after. Food for thought. Yeah, even just a central meet would be cool. Right now I'm in Manhattan for school at K-State but I come back to Olathe a lot. The only Celica drivers out here I've seen are ditsy chicks and a couple very foreign guys, none of which have any appreciation for their cars. What part of KC are you from. Sushi is from OP I think, I see a lot of his stuff on KCSR.org and I think I met him once back in the day when I had my Mustang lol -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, with 318 curves in 11 miles, is America ’s number one motorcycle and sports car road. The nearby Cherohala Skyway is quickly becoming number two with its remote 60 miles of scenic mountain highway. The area also has other roads less traveled, but just as exciting. That Tail of the Dragon? Isnt that NC? This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Oct 27, 2005 - 11:14 AM -------------------- |
