it's sad to hear how so many people here are getting into accidents and are forced to sell their car.. well, i'm here to do just the opposite. i purchased a wrecked car last spring from the insurance company and i brought it back to life.

It was involved in a light front-side collision. I wanted it so bad because it has just under 100,000 kms, and is the rare fully-loaded model with leather, 5spd, GT-S, everything was practically brand new, the leather was still stiff with no tears and almost never sat on! Plus it's the car i've wanted for a long time (at least one that i can afford that can be used year-round.. lol!). I've always wanted a MKII MR2 Turbo or a 90+ Alltrac but couldn't find any for sale or at least any that are in my price range. Until I later realized imported 5th gen gt-fours are only $6000!! Anyway, the damage wasn't too severe.

Since then, I've been saving my cash and paying it off and shopping for parts (as well as some JDM stuff). Anyway, I sent it in the shop for repairs, body integrity, safety, paint job etc. etc. It all cost $1400, then there was the headlights ($250 USD, used from a jdm 96 SS-I) and the bumper reinfocement bar ($150 US, from a member of this forum). they did a shi**y job on the bodywork, they still left out a few dings here and there and kinda oversprayed on the headlights. oh well, im getting bodywork and a new paint job done next year when i put on the kit.

I'm just so happy that it's finally back on the road. It was been sitting for about 7 months. It will be going under a fresh tune-up this week.

After this winter, all my jdm parts i bought are goin in.
Anyways, i'm done rambling for now. Here are some pics.

oh yeah. i noticed my low beam has an extra bulb connector on the back. what's that for, is it an accent light like what the projectors have? i think it is..

edit** i just check it out.. it is an accent light but i don't have a harness for it. i'll probably splice it with the side markers.. i wonder how that would look.
