QUOTE(pr_caralho @ Oct 21, 2005 - 1:43 PM) That front end is hideous man..... Can't be anywhere near as hideous as the older versions do. I know I'm getting flamed for that but besides what's under the hood, the previous Skylines are ugly. I'd take a Supra over a Skyline any day(And let the flaming begin!). -------------------- |

The old Skyline's were boxy compared to their competition, but they were mean looking and that was a major part of the charm, Nissan is just following in the LF-A's footsteps with this. I could see the rear making production but the front has got to go, and i've said it a million times if Nissan uses the 350Z chassis in any way then the Skyline will lose any credit it has, it'll be a Z car even if they called it a Skyline GT-R AWD Twin Turbo Super King and slapped red badges all over it, it'll still be a modded Z, it's ass backwards compared to when Toyota seperated the Supra and Celica.

QUOTE(lagos @ Oct 21, 2005 - 6:23 PM) hope they sell them here! They're planning on selling them in U.S. with (Est. 450hp, $60k ~ $70k) but it will sold as Infiniti not Nissan (Just the fact that Nissan's service will not match the quality for Skyline) |

Hmm stating the fast that Skyline is uses a Z based chassis, So basicly 94 ~ 97 Toyota Celica to 94 ~ 97 Toyota Camry uses what ????? Celica & Supra seperated ? Celica was based on Supra if you go along way of history of Celica. Sorry to say but I would take any Nissan or Infiniti over Toyota's old men styling cars. the front looks strange i admit, but i think they are trying to show off the carbon fiber bits on the front bumper. If you painted those black parts the same color as the body, im sure it will look better.

The Celica came first, then Toyota decided in the mid 80's to make a modded version called the CelicaSupra it lasted two generations and became just the Supra Turbo and the Celica, kind of like a spin off. The new Skyline concepts are being based on a Z chassis, which would have been cool if the Skyline wasn't already held above the Z, now Nissan is just saying they're basically the same thing. The Celica and Camry are two totally different cars and only our versions have anything close to do with a Camry. Bottom line the Skyline isn't a Z car it's a Red Badge car, Nissan should keep it that way. Also consider this if they make it, then just save yourself $20,000 and buy a 350 and mod the hell out of it, that's basically what Nissan did and you'll get more than the 500hp or so you'll get out the new Skyline.
