well its been a while but after selling the turbo set up well i bought a 4age head from mr2oc and well its nice i have a bunch of friends that work on 4ag's big time from a corolla club called nasty toys and well i got some parts and get ready for a HYBRID 7age just like nik but i might go for all motor instead i mean ive seen two 7age's and well i love the numbers. the 7age is claimed by these two peoples is to be 175 hp stock with piggyback adjustment at 7500 rpm's and i gotta say i love it!
so i am polishing up the cam covers right now and need a complete list of what ima need (i got the fx16 intake manifold and the head; cams, gears, valvetrain and new valveseals) and am working on the porshe 944/924 belt so what else? |

new pistons, and new rods would be nice.
A complete bottom end re-build. Complete top end re-build. Countless random gaskets. A head gasket conducive to your set-up, the water outlet from a 4ag (connecting to the head that is), adjustable cam gears would make life easier, but are not supremely important, 4ag crank sprocket, ECU for your project or some other plans,,, probably more to come later. |

Regardless... you're gonna have to do a bit of wiring so you can modify either or (7AFE engine harness or 4AGE engine harness). Modifying the 4AGE harness would be easier... since you'd only be meshing it with the Celica interior/dash harness. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

On a stock bottom end he woudl have a compression ration of about 8:1, thus his whp would be closer to 60 than 160. Without pistons from a 4age, the 4age head is slush when dealing with a 7afe. |

just hang tight on that note. Once I have my pistons installed I'll post up with the compression. I could Probably figure it out without installing them, but that's too much work. Anyway, it'd mean that you coudl get 2zzge pistons with round about 12.5:1 compression. If that's too much for you you can augment it with a headgasket.

although that is possible, I am saying that -I- am going to use 2zz Pistons and 7a rods. If those 2zz pistons were even close, yea I'd use them. However, I have to have everything at the machine shop before I make any comments.

So, that low compression will lessen the detination at high boost numbers. I, however, am going to run the car NA and have a very high compression. I won't have near the power, but that was never my intention. I want a daily driver that will last a while and still be able to outrun most comparable imports and domestics. I expect I will have between 130 and 150 whp. However, I recently read about a 4ag that was running 12:1 compression with TRD cams making 180+NA whp.... which is amazing. So, you never know what you are going to get until the car is straped to a dyno. |

Once i get a rwd corolla 84-87 i'm going to go the n/a route on it . now 12:1 at the comp level dont you need something a little better than 91-93 octane fuel or thats the line right there? Fallen now your going big port with ITB's and 12:1 comp what are you doing for cams 256..... 272 ? are you doing any head work? you should start a post about your project and throw in those pics that are scattered every where -------------------- yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte

naa, I am using a small port head. The small port makes more power below say... 200whp than a large port strictly because the intake charge is generally going to be higher velocity through the smaller ports.
Oh, and I am a retard. I'm looking at 11.5:1 compression, not 12.5:1 |
