just did the door courtesy lights. only a little bit left to do light wise. this job took like no time.
///////////////////////////// // How-To Tools: Flat head screwdriver with 1 layer of duct-tape on head (so it doesn't scratch any plastic when you pry with it) Parts: 2x Tundra Courtesy light lenses (mine were from a 2006 Tundra, Toyota Part Number: 81231-0C010), 2x num194 LEDs (http://autolumination.com/194.htm) the LEDs point directly outward so the 5led matrix is probably not needed. ///////////////////////////// // Disasembly 1. With the car off, open the door. 2. Put the flat-head screwdriver into the side of the courtesy light (i did the one towards the front of the car) and pry the light-housing out. 3. You should be able to pull the lens off of the light housing with your fingers. 4. The light-bulb *probably* isn't too hot to touch (mine were barely warm), so grab it and pull it out. 5. try inserting the num194 LEDs into the socket, if it doesn't light try rotating it 180 degrees (LEDs are sensitive to polarity). ///////////////////////////// // Troubleshooting If, after being rotated 180 degrees, the LED still doesn't light make sure the contacts on the leds are touching the contacts in the socket. if they aren't you may need to modify the LED base a litte. The contacts on my LED base were too close together, so i carved some new grooves a little further out from the center with an x-acto knife, and then bent the LED contacts a bit, so they fit the new grooves. |

I actually bought mine from someone else, they had said they were from a Tundra. it is easy, pop off, pop on.
