I took out my climate control unit a few weeks ago to mess with the lights inside, and recently, as I've started to use the heat more, I've noticed that when my dial is on cold the air is warm, and when it's on hot it's really hot. My guess is when I took out the unit, I messed up something with the cables. Any Ideas on how to go about fixing it?

Well there is two cables so :

I think the main culprit should be the one running to the engine bay. Trace it back there. My guess is it is to do with the clip in the engine bay. Unclip it, adjust accrosdingly to the climate control(max cold) then clip it back on.

Or maybe you did not put one of the cables back onto the levers.

I checked them this afternoon, they're both clipped on, but I'll re-calibrate them tomorrow. Thanks.

the first time i re-inserted my cc unit the hot-cold knob wouldn't go all the way cold. since then what i've been doing when i take it apart is set the knob all the way to the cold side, then re-attach the cables to their spots. and then, to be safe, i turn the knob from hot to cold a few times before re-fastening the metal clips by the accelerator and in the engine bay.

as for stupid mistakes (i know i make allot of them smile.gif ).
after taking out and re-installing the cc unit's circui board all the buttons will need to be pressed to re-establish their seating with the internal buttons.
make sure the AC button is pressed for really cold air.
make sure the air circulation button is set correctly.
