Power antenna or manual?

Do you have an aftermarket head unit if power?

ok, that title needs to go its ****ing stupid. You might be able to lube it up depending on how advanced it is at being ****ed up. If it dosent move at all, you most likely will need a new motor. If it's moving up and down and only making a slight grinding noise you might be able to save it.

goodluck and never title your threads anything like that again!!!

Hey, that's very common, mine did the same thing. You may need to replace the mast. I put an ugly ebay "euro styles" antenna on mine but wish I didn't. You could just unplug the power source to the antenna when it's down so it doesn't try to go up. The reception is the same with it down, at least mine was. I wish I did this.

The mast is a 30-minutes, $20 repair job that's really easy to complete -- and sounds like it's your're problem. Generally, the first thing to go on these antennas is the plastic track that raises/lowers the mast.

Unbolt the outer nut, remove the trunk panels, remove the motor assembly and then you can pull the mast from the motor. Motor's easy to disassemble if it turns out the track is broken, since that means you probably have a chunk of the track still in the motor gears.
