Yeah

Im not even on lowered suspension and Im scraping the bottom of my front peice on my kit when I go into parking lots that dip... And Im rollin on stock suspension so im confused... The only reason Im not lowering is beause of this, but its reality right now... I need to learn how to avoid this if possible cuz this kit is fiberglass and we all know how crappy it is...

So any advice? confused.gif I dont wanna end up with a broken kit frown.gif

for starters i might suggest getting some rims. the stock 15s make the car sit low with a kit to begin with. also it will come with time. the more you drive you will figure it out. start off by taking the dips slow and at an angle. the bigger the slant the more of an angle.

Learn the roads around you. I know every pothole and big curb lol. Also if you must go into a driveway with a bigger crub, take the best angel you can get, dont go strait in.

Bigger wheels wont solve your problem unless you go pretty big, or you don't put low pros on. For instance, I went from 15s to 17s a but with the low profile tires the overall diameter of the wheel+tire is the same as it was when I had 15s.

But like they said, you can solve alot of your problems by going at an angle, almost sideways

Yea...i agree w/ Jay. Bigger rims will help, but it'll take away from the look of the kit so you're gonna have to lower it and then you're back to square one. My best advice is that you're gonna have to sacrifice those places with the big dips. For example, at my school, i sacrificed Wendy's cuz it has a NASTY dip, so i cant drive there anymore. Drive carefully and be careful. I already scraped like 20 times and have rock chips galore and its chipped as h*ll. Honestly i dont care as much as i should. I'll repaint it but im lookin to buy a new car soon. just know the roads around u and sooner or later you'll be able to judge whether ur car will make it or not (experience). Take hills on an angle SLOW.

Ya. i went from 15's to 18's and my tires are the same height as my 15's were. just learn your roads and always go at an angle. Thats how i it just with my stock front and rear.

Neither

BBoys tires are of a larger diameter than celiracer's or stock.

when i went to my 17s (235/45/17) it was higher than my 15s (205/50/15). you can still have a sporty tire and have some side wall to fill the wheel well so you dont have to lower it so much.

When you have big rims with small tires the heigh will equal out to small rims with big tires. So what he's saying is correct. I have 18'' with 35mm tires and its about equal to stock rims & tires, I forget the calculation, its somewhere on the internet.

Bigger rims on stock suspension with a kit will just make your car look stupid high. Its all about the angle.

I go into my drive way at a huge angle cant back into it because I'll drag my kit, I have to go in forward and huge the bushes basicly, the best thing to do is go very slow untill you learn the roads you take, aventualy you will get a custom to your clearence and stuff but to learn it you gata go slow and steady and just angle into it, I kinda gave up after a wile so I just deal with the screaping and I have had to fix cracks in the kit because of it but thats life and it does not show

its not the scraping thats really that bad, a little here and there wont make a diff if your slow wile its scraping, its the curbs that did the big crack on mine I had to fix, you absolutly can not hit a curb because it will crack easy if you wedge it, backing it in will prevent this as the back will go over most.

but you kinda figure it out on your own, its hard to just tell you how to drive it.

I know what you mean, I think I scraped my first time after putting my kit on, luckly it was still primered. Like everybody else said it is all about the angles. Don't ever take anything straight on anymore and try to avoid big bumps and driveways if possible. I go out of my way to get to things now if it looks like i'm going to scrape. You will get used to the art of driving with a body kit.

i dont even have a kit and i have to go at huge angles... when i had my 15's the car was wayyyy too low, and i did not even enjoy driving it around town... 17's (215/45/17) raised it a bit, and now its driveable... its funny how its still as low as some kits lol

I think it looks just fine smile.gif

Thanks guys! So just go in at an angle.. Alright! I'll work on it! Its just so weird tho... When i just got the kit installed... i went to places all the time that had drive ways that dipped and came back up, and I never scrapped... But just recenty... I started scrapping in places where i never scraped before... Haha I guess I had the technique of driving with a kit when it got installed...

But yeah... now Im real careful... I better get this technique down before the kit gets painted tho... and thats gonna be coming up pretty soon here...

I'm lowered 1.5" and have 17's. You need to learn to take dips and uphills slow, and at an angle. And if the jackasses behind you don't like it f'm cuz its your car and if its like mine and has a lot work into it screw them.
