Do they make em for our Celicas? This style hood is like the hood on the Supra in F&F...If not i guess i'll have to get em custom made frown.gif

nope, they don't make a TRD style hood for our cars. you'll have to go custom.

Well, I don't know how he did it, but I'd say there are atleast two ways. The first way I'd say is probably by buying that Supra hood and get it custom fitted to your engine bay. The other way, the way I would go about it, its probably by buying that hood and cutting out the vented section (No, you don't do this, an authorized body shop does) and getting it custom molded onto your current Celica hood. Like I said, I'm not sure if that's how it was done, but those are a couple of guesses to maybe how it could be done. It looks amazingly sweet, though, very good!

Here's another example.

I don't know much about the car except I believe it was done by Sub21 - an Aussie (car audio?) company as their promo car, and the hood was custom made. I'm not sure if they had a whole new hood made, or just had the original hood cut in the right place and the grills added.

Maybe some of the Australian 6gc members know more or have seen this car?

I'd like to have that TRD hood and the rear wing on the bottom Celica.

You know, it would be really sad if we discovered these "TRD" hoods were just vinyl overlays on a stock un cut celica hood. Anybody ever think of doing that?

for some reason i think the sub21 hood looks a little funny..
it looks like they stretched the design too wide and sharpened the
edges. maybe to avoid copyright laws or maybe its just me.. im
not really into big wings so i cant speak on that. other than that.
the car is sweet as f***.

yea, I'mthinkin vinyl. I really don't think that's rice though. I see it as showing respect. Like my old vett, I always wanted to put those two little stripes on the right fender to give props to Zora. I look at this much the same way. Plus, it would look really cool.

depends on who does it.
be careful... after you do
it you hood has to be
re-enforced. the support
beams are in the way.
