Ok so I was heading home today back on the freeway coming back from best buy and as I was driving along the highway. I saw a glimspe shot of what I thought was a piece of plastic lying on the road. So I thought hmmm its flat and is made out of plastic so I might just run it right over no harm there. So as I got closer I was like OH SHI*!!! The thing was a metal ladder, around 10ft long that some moron had dropped. I didn't have enough time to act so I swerved out of the lane and on to the grass that was in the middle of the freeway. As I got onto the grass I slowed down and the car died. I thought, OH CRAP! My oil pan probblay blew a hole when the ladder hit it or the tranny got knocked loose or something cause the car died. Then I quickly thought to myself.....
"Hmmm If I went into the grass, wouldn't some other idiot like me follow???" Then looking at the rear view mirror some idiot did follow and it was an SUV along with a truck. I was like, "Oh SHI***" Turned on the key and gassed it in the grass spinning out dirt and what not and going like a few feet down the "now and new" Grass road. So after I was clear of getting rammed by idiots who followed me or saw the ladder and went off the road. I checked my tires and oil pan and found that the stupid ladder did some damage to my front passenger tire. It chewed off some rubber from the tire, but luckly It didn't pop or get punctured, but I might need to get another alingment and tire balance, cause it was a nasty impact when the tire hit the ladder and what not.

I love the Celi so much more after what happened. smile.gif

(The car died after I got onto the grass, cuz I didn't press down on the clutch and I was in 5th gear going less than 5MPH.)

yeah the other day i was driving down the highway, huge piece of metal standing about a foot in the air (no idea what it was) so i had to swerve and hit a gravel shoulder doing 115km/h (just over 70mph) and then i lost control of my car for a bit.... swerving back and forth still doing that speed (was in cruise) and almost hit the van beside me.... then i got it back, wow i was scared!!!

Bah my Dad drove is Ford Aerostar up a similar ladder on the road at about 80 mph. That didn't hurt the car but the deer that jumped out in front of it a few years later the day we were trading the car in...that hurt it and the trade in. Lesson here folks hit the inanimate object.

2 months ago i was driving in the slow lane on the freeway in San Diego going about 85 mph (it's socal, we all drive fast) and an 18 wheeler was about 50 ft infront of me one lane to the left. and all of a sudden out of nowhere a huge chunk of tire rubber comes off of one of his wheels and smacks me windshield and leaves a huge rubber smudge. im lucky it didnt break the windshield and more lucky it didnt come through and smack me in the face.

One day I was driving down the road, and I notice a block object coming at me fast from the other direction. At first I thought it was a bear or something... as I get closer I notice, it's a full WHEEL! This thing was going down the road at like 50 mph! I stopped and got out, stopped the wheel, and stuck it in my Jeep. Drove up the road about 1/2 a mile where there was a truck pulled over with a missing rear wheel. HAHA!!!

So I got out and returned it to the guy.

Man, my car was low too! Well I just came back from my Mech. today and he said it knocked the chamber a 1/4 inch off. Anyways, he hasn't seen my setup yet since my engine blew and said that without P/S and a racing setup like the one I have he had to adjust the TOE in a bit harder than usual cause it was wearing out the tires and what not. Man my Mech is good!

I was going down the highway once and a truck pulling a boat hit a bump and threw a wheel off the trailer (spare wheel that sits near the hitch). I didn't see it until it came flying over the top of the boat. I slammed on my brakes and locked it up. It bounced in front of me and then over the median, where is went into someone's windshield. Needless to say that man's weekend was ruined...
