Hey all, as you all know i posted a while ago and got my second Celica, if you haven't figured it out yet I'm big into the show scene and am not building my second all show Celica. Here are a few rough sketches of the paint and graphics that are gonna be done to the car. I know alot of you wont agree with it and not like it but I wanted to share....personally i think it's gonna be a great show car....I'm phyched and can't wait to paint it biggrin.gif

Enjoy...

This is the original sketch of the paint skeme (sp), the yellow/orange mark will not be in it.

This is a front view of the celica, keep in mind these are rough sketches so they suck big time....

Here is the graphic that is going on the hood, it is the grim reaper/ soul keeper, the cloak that is over his head is basically the blue, theis is looking as if it's pulled down over the metal plate. In the metal plate will be faces that look as if they are trying to push through.

And this is the last pic this is of the rear of the car. The exhaust has already been run through the hatch to where the liscense plate used to be. Yes it was all don't properly...if you want pictures of this I can get some just let me know.

Ok that's all for now I'll keep you all updated on the progress of the car.....it should be done and ready to show by next show season biggrin.gif

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

if the yellow/orange thing isnt going to be there, id suggest doin something a lil bolder with the blue spikey things...it seems like it might look a lil incomplete with just a few of those blue spikeys. but thats just my opinion...i love this idea... i wish i had the money to do some crazy paint job like that.

I dunno, the grim reaper thing is a little tacky, I mean maybe if you were air brushing it on something badass like a harley or something, but not on the celi. Just giving some constructive criticism, the exhaust Idea is cool, but as far I think the diamond plate would be tacky. I would suggest carbon fiber, but I guess it would crack from the heat? Also, I'm sure you realize if you route your exhaust through the liscense plate area you will have to relocate the licsense plate somewhere else, and you will be screwed as far as the trunk goes.

I do like the kit alot, what kit are you sketching there? I think the ducktail style spoiler really gives it a more contemporary look.

I think from a show perspective if you molded the skirts and used the rivit(sp)/scrap metal design over the mold it would look great. Not sure if I'm explaining that right, but if you have a bunch of seams in the scrap metal pattern and then you don't have a seam between the skirt and the car it would look really clean.

the kit that is on the car is the gang's jail kit....i chose the diamond plate because of the metal plate paint that is going to be done, as for the graphics they are all going to be airbrushed. I will get pics of how the exhaust looks tomarrow for ya.....and I can't use carbon fiber around the exhaust because there is a flame kit hooked up to it and it will melt the carbon fiber.....i'll get pics of that too. Oh and the liscense plate is going below on the kit where it is shown......

thanks for all the compliments and constructive criticism biggrin.gif
