theres a place in north jersey that my firends and i go to every year. The whole neighborhood (MANSIONS) decorate like that. U can see their lights from miles away. I'll take pics this year if we go. The town pays for their electricity bill since its so insane

Thats pretty cool. Theres these one house in town that has about 150 of those plastic light up santas, reindeer, candycanes, etc. It takes up there whole yard. Its insane.
If that was really done to a house, and not computer animated, that guy has got to be a lighting designer for some theatre/concert venue. This post has been edited by beastman: Nov 20, 2005 - 8:44 AM -------------------- Former Celica Owner... RIP 08-2007

yeah theres a street of mansions that do the same
we dont decorate at my house. its always just my bro, dad, mom, and myself so theres no need to put a tree up or lights! we dont even wrap the presents anymore. they just hand them over on Christmas Eve i do like how we celebrate christmas eve though cuz then when my bro and i are seeing someone then that family usually celebrates on x-mas day so it works out well This post has been edited by BlackCelicaGT94: Nov 20, 2005 - 11:10 AM -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

QUOTE(forkee @ Nov 20, 2005 - 12:45 AM) Sorry, but I don't see the point of that at all. What are you celebrating, the invention of strobe lights? A house near me goes all out with a real santa's workshop in their front yard. Santa actually visits some nights and cars stop and let their kids play in the yard and visit Santa. They open up their garage and serve drinks. Their driveway is a big tunnel of lights and they have a fake snow mountain in the front yard with penguins (fake of course) and stuff. It's ridiculous. We call it Six Flags over Christmas. |

I don't decorate for christmas. It's a stupid holliday. Why do we need a special ocasion to get together with our families and be nice. We should just do these things anyway. And there's no since in wasting all the money everyone does. Greedy American's have ruined christmas. It's sad.

That's awsome, a lot of technical work must have gone into it, very well done.
we dont do much in the line fo decorations, we use to get a tree, then we got a fake, now we have a 3 foot tall fiberoptic thing, that my dad build a tiny train set for, HP scale I think (my dad is into model trains and has a cool setup in the garage,) we just dont have the time for crazy things, but there is a place near my uncles in seattle that does a huge desplay, its owned by 2 gay guys, and its pretty darn good, also there is a nabor hood like 10 miles up north where everyone does a big thing and there is a santa and they give out candy and take donations and stuff, we sometimes drive up there and see it, its pretty cool. -------------------- |
