yeah anywho i was goin to a buddys house in minneapolis and this 96-00 civic with all the stickers the car could handle and dark tinted windows came up revvin to me...i was like yea w/e u fag...he kept revvin' at me so i got mad...we got up to a stop light and gez what a coincidence...me on the right lane and him on the left lane...gee he wanted to race so much so i decided i would give him a try...raced all the way into the highway and well from then on i dont know how to explain...but i won by 5 car length...we was goin up to 110mph...well i slowed down and he didn't dare come ahead of me!...mauahahaha bitch civics...anywho the other day i beat a damn accord...it was an auto but w/e...it was cool to beat those silly civics...

I might half to call some BS on this too. If it was a stock EX with a 5 speed, and a decent driver, he should have beaten you. Are you sure he was racing? You know, some of you guys who bash on Civics or any Honda, should drive one some time. I keep hearing the argument that they are just “stupid ricers,” or “my car is original, not like a ricy Civic.” A stock EX Civic from 96-up can beat any stock 6gc. And they can become a lot faster for ¼ the effort and ¼ the price. And you guys still think you’re so cool in your 6gc. I'm really getting sick of it. I'm going to start throwing the word douche bags around here after bit. I've been holding back, but this hate thread has pushed me over the edge I think.

I don’t hate the 6gc, I think it’s a great car. It’s just not fast, and it takes a good bit of effort and money to make it fast.

my best friend has an 03 civic si hatch with a greddy turbo kit that can probably kill any 6gc on this site

and it didnt cost him an arm and a leg to turbo it, and it didnt take him forever like some of the 6gc swaps do. it took him a weekend to install and then a weekend to tune.

he also isnt "rice" its a very clean civic, lowered, 5zigen wheels, no stickers, no body kits, and he never revs, EVER

i think the reason people hate civics is because people who want to be a "tuner" buy them thinking they can spend a little bit of money and spend a little bit of time and make them into a race car, when in fact all they are doing is making a "rice rocket" and then they drive around like they have a race car which should be flamed as much as possible.

but bulldog i do think a close to stock 6gc can take a rice civic because i have taken a few, and ive taken an integ ls with intake and exhaust in a legit, flagged race. and a 6gc is only a tad bit slower than a newer prelude with exhaust and intake and vtec....

so ya... rice is gay some civics are fast.... especially when you know what you are doing

I used to hate all honda's. But then I owned one. A 14 sec 1/4 mile civic. Lots of tourqe, 1.8 swap with some goodies and wheight reduction. I like some honda's. But there is no excuse for a ricer. I hate most hondas now, just because they are ricers and they destroyed their car and think its cool or somethin. Most honda's arent fast at all, not to say their arent some that are. Just that most are butt slow. I have beat a couple, and my celica is nowhere near fast. I can respect a clean fast civic though.

yea i don't encourage street racing. but since you killed a ricer civic, you've been forgiven yesterday a white civic hatchback with halo headlights, body kit and coffee can tailgated me and cut right infront of me. i didn't even try racing him. i went beside him and my bov went pssssssssssh... and i was infront of him.. then he slows down all falls behind lol.. till i couldn't see him lol.

My friends EX beated me on a road that had lots of dirt on due to construction. My wheels spinned out and I didn't have any grip at all. Then when we Raced again with perfect road and whether I beated him at a meet. LOL. Muahhaaaaa!
He beated an EX with a GSR swap in it. So if I can beat his EX than those GSR are no match!

thats not true, the 96 ex has similar hp numbers, but far less torque. The ex would most likely beat you if you were not racing from a stand still, but there's no way a stock ex manual could beat my stock gt manual from a standstill. I could tell you personal accounts, but I'd be just as lame as everyone else saying things like. "I raced my buddie's type r with an intake and beat him by 50 car lenghts."

whats retarded is that he was showing off. a civic is just like any other car. its not ricey until you slap vinyl all over it for the sheer purpose of attracting attention then rev ur engine with a loud muffler just to gain more attention. apparently someone was mistreated and ignored in childhood. who cares which car actually was faster, the civic was far more annoying.

Im not kidding. Mines a 5 spd and his was too. I don't know what happen, but he lost. Were gonna go for round 3 next and see who wins.

Sorry guys, but I think threads like these are dumb and overplayed. I see a new "I raced a Civic" thread here at least once a week. I'm not saying it to be mean, but I'm sure some of you know how I feel. Street racing is dumb and dangerous, but what you do on your time is your responsibility. Secondly, don't bash on Hondas. Its kinda dumb. Most people do it just to jump the bandwagon and join the "in" crowd of Honda-haters. If your gonna make fun of someone, make fun of the driver, and not the car. Like I said, don't take any offense, I'm just kinda in the same boat as Bigmeanbulldog55, watching these threads come up over and over again, with people just flaming Hondas all the time.
