I purchased a transmission off ebay over a month ago. Had a bad time with the company. It took forever to get here due to them not shipping it for 2 weeks after they had my money. I belive the add said "Fits 89-96 5sfe gt celica." Well, no! It didnt come with the side transmission mount. So i took my old one off and tried to put it on. It doesnt line up at all, totally different mount. Secondly, the axle's are different. They didnt remove the passenger side axle, the just cut it off about a foot away from the tranny. Just by looking at it I can tell that its different from my passenger side axle. On my tranny they just pry out, this one doesnt. Another thing is that the release bering "throw-out bearing" is'nt fiting. Its bigger than the one on my transmission. So all in all I dont think this transmission is going to work. I could maybe make my mount fit it somehow. I could use the old throw-out bearing that the new tranny has. I just dont know how I would get my axles to fit this transmission. What could I do if anything to make this transmission work? P.S. The company's name is Makota AutoParts which is located in California. NEVER buy from these people. They suck!
thanks alot guys, Mad Guy -------------------- 1994 GT Awaiting new tranny...

I dont want my money back, I just want to have a car!!!! God im so mad. They arent answering my calls. Wait till i talk to that arab son of a bitch. Im going to tell him i have talked to an attorney, and if they dont send me a new transmission for free i'll make them pay for a rental car, a new tranny, etc. But really, this is rediculos. They had my money for over two weeks b4 they even sent it. They lied about this product and even kept my money until i called several times and talked to them about it. Thats fraud. Is'nt there anybody on here that lives in cali that will go "talk" to these peope? Well i'll keep calling, maybe their eating lunch?

did you do all your homework and find out what tranny you have in your car and what car the new tranny came out of?
just because the ebay auction said it will fit a celica, dosnt mean it will be a direct replacement for your old tranny. they could have been selling an ST, mr2 or alltrac tranny. This post has been edited by lagos: Nov 26, 2005 - 5:37 PM -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Well, they said it would fit a 1994 toyota celica 2.2l, which is what i have. So they said it would fit and it doesnt. So any way you look at it, they lied. Maybe they should have done more homework, they never specified what it came out of, just that it would fit my car. Not an st, mr2, or gt-4, but (my car).

sending it back would cost much more than just keeping it. From now on, I am staying away from e-bay no matter how cheap there prices are. Never ever buy any car parts off of ebay!

I remember you looking for a transmition awhile back and buying this thing. You should have just bought mine, lol. Sorry that company didn't work out. I try to stick with locals and members of the good seller list on here when buying anything.

QUOTE(DJWashington @ Nov 27, 2005 - 11:35 AM) Yeah, thats what I'll do from now on. I just saw a good deal and didnt want to pass it up. Big mistake. As for the link, I dont have it. My friend has it on his computer though. I will get it soon. How much do you want for your tranny? And will it fit? :/ It's from a 94 GT. It will fit. The problem is that it had about 115-120k when removed. It's still good if your not planning on a turbo or putting down too much hp. 3rd gear sincro is worn. I'm not sure what I'm asking. I don't want much for it though. I'd preffer pickup if at all possable, and that seems to be my problem in getting rid of it. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

Pm me with a close address to your house, doesnt have to be exact if u dont want. Just close so i know how I could get there and how long it would take me. Let me know that and I can let you know if i could manage a pick-up. How about $150 for it. Just an offer.
Oh, and is the syncro pretty bad? Is it just rough getting in gear? Or does it grind alot? etc. -------------------- 1994 GT Awaiting new tranny...
