My friend just swapped in a 4afe engine into his corolla and the origonal intake manifold off the JDM engine he bought has the EGR blocked off and should make a lil more power and my question is will it fit on my 7a??

I thought the 4AFE was crappier than the 7A. Now, if you meant 4AGE then thats something different. PM Nik and ask.

its a 4afe and yes its not as good but the intake manifold is desighned different and because the engine was from japan the EGR is blocked off adding a little more HP.

Short answer... No. Peak performance is measured mainly at WOT... EGR is closed at WOT and is non-functional.
