Ok so I'm halfway through my junior year at K-State University and HATE everything I've done there. Started out as an Architectural Engineer, then switched to Mechanical Engineering, then to Business Management and I hate it all. I want something hands on, car related, etc. I had thought a lot before about going to UTI and almost did it but decided to give college a final try. Well I decided just recently that I am NOT going back to college after the last couple weeks of this semester are over. I'm debating on going to the local community college to get my auto-tech certification (which I could complete in around a year or less) or to go all out and go to UTI and be done in about a year, and have what I believe would be a better education and more job options.

I'm just excited that I'm not going to be sitting through more boring finance, accounting, management classes etc that I don't care at all about and getting to do something that I love.

sweet deal. Right now I'm thinking the Chicago or Orlando campus. If I go to Chicago I'm going to do the Toyota program, but most likely I'm gonna try my best to get to the Orlando one (have family down that way too, would be kinda nice). I would probably go anywhere in January-March and can't wait!

that's exactly what i didn't like about it. the description of all the programs, jobs, etc makes it sound like you're going to have all this cool hands on, testing, building, rockin jobs. Nope, you're gonna sit at a computer all day doing drawings and crunching numbers. Whoop-dee-doo. It's not necessarily a hard program, I just wasn't interested in it at all.
