I have a A&A Specialties GTR pure carbon fiber wing with airplane grade aluminum risers and paintable polyureathane endcaps...It's NOT the apc replica.
I paid about $800 new and used it for 6-7 months then my g/f got me the BTR/B battle wing... the one that looks like the t2 but a little better looking.. the GTR is the wing that is shown in my sig. I would sell it for $300 + shipping -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

no offense to ne one that has this but Phat_99CeliGT if you have ever seen this upclose it doesn't look right on a 6th gen... dosen't fit the body lines very well and with how the front end is so long and low it really makes the front of the car look wierd -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

I actually think it looks pretty good on sixth gen hatchbacks. I really like it a lot on some cars, especially Mynzeyes' car. But everyone's opinion is different. Personally, I like the Erebuni hatchback wing that resembles the Hiro wing. I think it looks sweet, and I really wish they made one like that for the coupes and convertibles. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

It's so tempting, but right now I'd rather spend the money on rims and a TRD quick shifter and some new struts and springs and some clear corners and lots of miscellaneous stuff like that. Plus, my car was just repainted a little more than a month ago, and I'd feel kinda bad asking the owner of the shop to go to the trouble of installing the wing and repainting my trunk lid and a new spoiler, since he hooked me up and evertything. If I wait a couple months the I'll have more money and I won't feel so bad asking him. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

yeah dude, I hear you. so much stuff to be done, so little money.
I am planning to do everything at once though. bodykit, rims, paintjob, wing coming in summer 2003. that reminds me, I'm gonna need another grand or so, time to get a job... lol |

thnx coomer. and NEVERSTOP, if you don't think this matches... then i'm sorry, and i mean it in the most positive way, but you have no sense of aesthetic comprehension. and yeah Jared..gettin rid of that aluminum for a Supra style will 0wn...combat wings and alum. don't really belong on 6th gens...sleek and subtle. -John- -------------------- |

yeah, look at John's last pic. The spoiler almost looks stock. The curves of it looks exactly parrallel to the curves of the upper hatch.
Good decision Jared, IMO it will look much better than the wing. -D |

yeah, coomer can in all the forums, and i can in the General, suspension/handling, and engine/performance forums. otherwise, just hit the "edit" button, and manually take all of the typing out of it...your post may still be here...but all the stuff will be gone from it... -------------------- |

I personally like both types of wings but obviously the style and choice you go for depends on the body kit you have.
Best thing to do is look at the Parts Database / Exterior Styling / ..., in other words, the body kits w/ wings and see what looks good. Then go with what you want/feel. After all, the richness of life is that everyone has, and is entitled to, their own opinion and ideas, and thus we come up with soemthing new or different. ...aaaaggghh! starting to sound like a sermon! BTW: Check out the red 6GC done by Savage in Germany (http://www.savage.de/) One of my personal favourites. |

Mynzeyes is the reason i want to get one. It looks so good on there. And i does match the body lines of the car.
If i can sell my aluminum for $200, where will be a good place to get the new wing?? -------------------- Jared Harwell

just a little FYI... I am a professional tattto artist... think I have just a little know how on proportions and design. you talk about sleek and subtle... how is the supra wing sleek and subtle? I sticks staight up off the back of the car. The wing would look better if the 6th gen wasn't so low and wide. The problem with it is the front end really needs to be higher than it is stock... maybe a GT4 hood would help. As for the back of the 6th the slope of the rear windshield is too gentle to turn around and rise the body line back up soo sharply.... The end result is a suped up shopping cart.... look at the side profile of a 6th gen with a supra spoiler on it and you will understand what I am talking about.... I am not trying to piss you off mynzeyes but I am trying to explain why I think the supra spoiler dosen't look right on a 6th... the only time a supra spoiler looks good is when you look at the front profile... when you don't really see most of the body lines. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Like I said earlier, it's simply a matter of opinion. There's no real reason to argue about this because it's just opposing opinions and chances are that you're not going to change Jared's mind by arguing over something like this. I still like the Supra spoiler on the hatchbacks, and I think that the side profile looks pretty sweet. The Supra spoiler isn't actually higher than the roof of the car, as illustrated by this photo(Hope you don't mind John ): To me, that wing looks sweet and blends in with the lines of the car because it's curved and not very angular, much like the design of the sixth gen. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Ok I love the Supra Style on Johns car. I have seen it many of times and it looks perfect on the car. I think that I will get the same spoiler when I get my kit put on. I have even thought about curen style wing and getting it put on. But I think that it will be to agressive for the car with the z-glide kit and the supra style will look alot better. But to each hsi own way. But IMO the supra one is the best one out there for our car.
