i want the toyota hi lux in back to the future- this or this onevvv http://www.toyoland.com/photos/1987/truck.jpg turbo? what engine does that thing have? i dunno but i know those things r really hard to find, i havent done alot of research on those but my dad had a 73 hilux he said it was the 18r and the 80s had the 20r or 22r, i dunno if they just turboed those or its something else...its not a big turbo though, still only 135 hp I know the later ones have a 22r's and 22re's (carb and fuel injection) the 3rd gen celica also has the 22re. still, it'd be cool to have a toyota factory turboed one of those, cause then it's reliable and built for turbo so you could make it powerful! -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

there turbo 22rte's C20 single entry turbo, they only had liek 135hp but IIRC correctly they have surprising torque (250ish ftlb)
searching for #'s and a thread on a 22rte ct20 to ct26 single entry ct26 swap i read about eariler this year edit: can not find the post, but it was by far one of the most indepth threads ive seen on a turbo swap. it was probally longer then presure2's 5sf'T'e thread This post has been edited by devilsden97: Dec 30, 2008 - 11:37 PM -------------------- Kawi Love |

This is my daily driver. 1994 Honda Civic EX. The first picture is when I bought her back in August of 2006 (with some minor changes), and the second picture is what she looks like today. When I bought the car, it had been in an accident, and the previous owner tried piecing her back together, hence the black fenders and hood. The car had a bo...bo....bodykit (whew, that took a bit to get that out) on it which HAD to go!!! The black 17s came on the car, but with factory suspension. I lowered it (handeled like a tank with stock suspension) and ditched the 17's. Slowly been a 2nd project along with my Celica.

That would be sik, yet at the moment i'm strictly using funds to get the car ready for the road (tires, and paint mostly).
I appreciate the offer though, and might hit you up at some point in the near future. -------------------- |

I run 32" BFG all terrainKOs on stock height with very little rub, and it does fine off road. Although hardcore offroaders would argue straight axle is the way to go, and for articulation, with serious suspension mods I would agree. My 87 with IFS will still kick the crap out of any domestic with stock ride offroad, power wise my stock 22R is a slug. (4L ftw) I am a rare case of an 87 with a carb. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

Here's my new beater eyesore...$880 and it runs like a champ. 70 horsepower 1.5 liter motor (great mileage and not actually as slow as you'd think because it's so light), 4-speed manual, just has some rust issues and I think the motor mounts need work. I bought it so I can drive to Yakima and back to work on my '92 Civic sedan project...once that's done I plan to get rid of this.
Look at all that rust, lol. Ugly blue interior. At least I won't have to worry about it because I just don't care. Best part of the car is I can easily fit a couple bikes in the back. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
