I prefer a smooth hiney biggrin.gif

After I got the 350 emblem off, I was tempted to keep it that way. I might end up going back and debadging it but I'm rocking the Fairlady Z emblem for a little while. I keep missing deals on Popchargers...

I really like that shot, the vingetting is just the perfect amount. smile.gif

A few more of the new project, I am changing the front springs to V8 monza springs, and getting a ball joint to break loose after 38 years is a little more of a task than I had hoped for.lol So far it is fun, it needs a lot of work, but it is rust free and runs very strong.

350 4 bolt main, 11.5 to one compression high dome pistons, roller rockers, .510 lift cam, 2 1/2 in exhaust with 1/2 glasspacks (loud as ****)
next are headers, aluminum heads, and probably a bigger carb(or 2).

next after springs, the one in it has no reverse lockout

size comparison, around 300 to 325 hp now, 2200 lb with 4 cyl, with the interior gutted it is probably around the same weight as my ST with the V8.

Were you just looking at it? Because you know you can't do anything to it without removing the engine. tongue.gif

I love the c2, thats my favorite body style of vette. The grand sport is one of the coolest looking cars ever made. imo

Yeah it is a fun project, it has really low gears, set up for 1/8th mile, eventualy I want a narrowed rear, and tub it for big slicks. I love the fact that small block chevy stuff is so cheap. Really most vegas that are left are track cars, so there is some cool aftermarket performance stuff out there, I can get a entire fibreglass one piece front end, for less than new projectors for the celica. kindasad.gif I will try to get a sound clip, if I can get far enough away to stop overpowering the mic. lol

Replaced the starter. Everything else pretty much requires the motor to come out.

Still dirty from the dealership. I'll do a small detail on it this weekend and post up shots from the Toyota festival on Sunday.

Cleaned the MR2 in preparation for a car show tomorrow. Still need to dress the mirrors, trim, and interior with Chemical Guys VRP, polish the wheel lips, and dress the tires.

Yup....

How it looked earlier this week

How it looks after a good scrubbing and waiting for the 2JZ-GTE VVTi to arrive to drop it in.

It's no mkIV, nor are they great shots, but I had a clean Z, a point and shoot, and some free time this evening.
