i emailed bulletproof auto a while back and they told me genuine c-one kits are made of fiber glass also... not sure if this is true or if the sales got it wrong... but if it is, i'd assume c-one fg is a lot higher quality than say vis?
so, i was wondering, how do these fiber glass compare to the vis zyclone kit? do they still crack and become almost glass-like in the winter? or are they able to flex and not crack when you hit something? also, how do they compare to polyeurthane kits like the gt-4 bumper? thanks -------------------- |

most kits are fiber glass or poly urithane...my buddys Blitz body kit on his Cav is full fiberglass. It looks good and doesnt have any flats. Only benifit that Polyurthane has is it flexes.
No fiberglass will flex, well..it will but it will be very very minimal. If u want a kit thats gonna flex, get one that polyurethane...especialy if this is gonna b a year round driver. If ur drive with lowered suspention and a fiberglass kit in Ontario winters...ur gonna crack ur sides and front easily. |

i read a thread a while back about genuine vielside being fg too.. n i still wanna find out if the c-one is really fg too... since if both the vis and c-one are fg... i most likely will take it off for the winters... or other than the gt-4 bumper is there any other poly kit

I think you can order them poly or fiberglass.

i just asked and they said all c-one kits are fiberglass only. but the sales said that even though it's fiberglass it would not crack compared to VIS ones?
i guess this makes sense since japan has bad winters too... but wouldn't all fiberglass kits have the same properties and thus end up cracking in the winter? or am i missing something here? This post has been edited by elvasoshexai: Nov 30, 2005 - 9:42 PM -------------------- |

nah. Fiber glass will crack wayyyy b4 poly. Poly is super bendable. Theres an add in alot of performance magazines showing 2 guys twisting a front bumper almost 540 degrees without it cracking or showing any stress. If u try and twist a fiberglass bumper no matter who makes it, it will crack and probably only be able 2 flex it 10 degrees. My side skirts i bought off Melissa were like rocks cuz they were pure fiberglass. No flex in them what so ever.
