I went out to plug in the celi for the first time the other day and I couldn't find the cord anywhere. I just assumed the GT-S models (canada) would come stock with a block heater, am I wrong?

My gts didn't come with one either, had to buy it and have it installed. It was originally from Ontario tho, so not sure if it was an option or not

Well, from my understanding, the block heater part is pretty cheap (~$25 Cdn-ish? $29 from Toyota) but it's the install that costs money since it's pretty time consuming.
I ended up having it down at a dealership since I didn't trust myself with it. The dealership charged me $130 Cdn + taxes and it took around an hour or two.
I think in putting the heater in, the coolent needed to be removed, as I got new coolent in my system (the coolent charge was part of the block heater install, so I assume it's necessary).
