So, my plans for my interior is starting tomorrow, and is gonna continue throughout the entire winter. So i figure ill give you guys a sneak peak of the first new addition that im pickin up tomorrow.
but in all red with black bulster supports. I got a good deal on the seats, they are retail $835 a peice, i got em for $750 a peice. So im actually pickin up seats them selves tomorrow, and the brackets and sliders on thursday(being shipped from california). So thats the first peice, second peice is reupholstering my back seats. Im plannin on usin the same material for the center section and for the sides im plannin on using probably some velvet, saude or somethin else thats gonna b nice n soft. So since there is only a How To, for reupholstering the front seats, ill be nice enough to write one up for the back seats and how 2 install sparco seats. Stage two of interior work is gonna b repainted inserts, pannels and redying the headliner/reupholstering the head liner. Ill have updates and actual pics as it comes along. my 7th gens r sittin in the garage waitin 4 some one 2 buy em..hint hint..lol I figured i would go with somethin i can bolt in my self so i dont have 2 keep lookin around for shops 2 make/modify my mounts..and also so i can drop em in 1 at a time cuz i needa car to get to and from school daily. So this way, if i get only my drives seat in, then i can still drive it, and install my passanger when ever. I was actually gonna get the speeds or a set of MOMO RSGT seats, but my parents wanted me to get reclinable, so they paid the difference. Any ways, some pics from today, i picked up the sliders, adaptor kit, mounting hardwear and the seats, the bases, slider handels and full install should be done thursday or friday. And im just starting as im writing this a how-to for installin them. Its pretty basic, but i figure if you have a step by step walk through rather than having to figure out sparco's crappy instructions.
Pics of the seat....(other ones in my garage) all wrapped up n protected all unwraped...sooooooo hot n comfortable and heres a pic of all the other things you need to installe em, the sliders, adaptor kit, and mounting hardwear. The only thing missing from the pic is the actuall bases and the slider handels. From left to right... Sliders, slider base adaptors, cross bars, *the one with the tag* seat mounting hardwear, and below it bolts for the sliders and adaptors. More pic soons. |

I want some racing seats too! My car roof is leaking (check other post) so now, my seats are pretty much stained up and destroyed (somewhat).

yea its in CND funds, but the main thing is, after my accident, my drivers seat got nice n f*cked. When i got hit, i braced my self and because there wasnt 2 much give, the seat's back actually twisted slightly, the shoulder supports bent back, and my rails dont hold and slide. If im sittin still and rock back n forth, i can actually move my seat about 3/4-1 inch in each way. I had to get seats and my parents wanted somethin that would bolt up easily and without modification. So we went half half on it but i think the insurance company is pickin up the bill..eventually. Plus, my 5s is runnin strong, and im just plannin on duin a 5sfte eventually, no 3s swap for me unless its a beams, but i kinda dont wanna. 2 much money in the swap with the new motor n so on. I would rather pickup a beat up 5S and rebuild it and turbo it.

So after waitin almost 2 F*ckin months for my brackets to come, i found out they r on their way up from cali right now. They should be here in about a weeks time or so. I also started my reupholstry. I went out today and spend around $60 or $70 in supplies to recover my back seats in 2 tone(red and black), recover my hatch cover cuz its all crapped up. So ill post pics of my taune(its drying right now) and the material i have for the back seats tomorrow and im gonna b writing a how to on sparco installs, reupholstering back seats and the hatch cover.

sounds great, ive been waiting for a reupholster of the back seats... seems like they would be pretty simple to do. Cuz right now my interior carpet, headliner, and seats are all tan, and its terrible. Im dying my headliner, and buying a new molded carpet, so my next project is the seats...

I wish I had your job. Canadian, Japanese, Mexican money. I don't care what it is, in America, that's $1,960 as of today. Those seats better be able to massage my... That's a lot of money for seats. Got my 7th Gen seats for $200 installed. That's right, $235 Canadian dollars. Perfect condition and they look better than the little fast and furious seats, IMO. And I'm not hating because those racing seats really aren't my style. I don't really like them. But whatever makes you happy. I'm sure they'll look great in your car since it'll actually match. Good luck with that.

I actually had a crappy job. I made 25 cents over minimum wage ($7.75) for a year n 2 months except for 8 weekends in the winter. I spent like 3 months of pay on these seats...but im gettin them covered by insurance. Good ol accident. Stupid guys at the body shop didnt take a look at em so i had the insurance adjuster come to my house and examin them. I got these seats cuz i got back problems(and yes i am only 18), and because i wanted a seat thats gonna keep me in place and is also gonna b funtional. I usually ride alone or with the gf, but i always got stuff in my car. In the winter i gotta load up 2 sets of skis, 2 boot bags and usually a couple duffel bags to stay the night at my buddies place up north. I wanted a reclineable seat so just incase i dont have enough room for the skis or w/e it may be, ill b able 2 move the seat up and recline it so i can rest them over it. Any ways, cuz we got snow 2day and the weather dropped like 10 degrees in 24 hours i couldnt finish my taunue cover. So im gonna have it done probably tomorrow or thursday.

i know what you mean. i got back problems too and im also only 18. i think it's because of my 2nd job. I run cable and have to climb roofs and lift sh!t. the other job is an office job so its more chilling. i know what it's like to make near minimum wage. I used to make $6 back when I was in retail and in high school. good luck with the seats. they look real nice. gotta love the sparco's. gotta love the comfort of bucket seats. lol.
