My tach settles at 3 instead of 0. I didn't mean to pop it off, just installing some new gauges. How can I get it to go back to 0? The gauge cluster is currently OUT OF THE CAR. When I put it back in will everything work okay?

easiest way IMO, put it back in the car with the clear plastic not on. Then pop the needle back off and put it back on in the correct spot (with car running).

thanks ill give this a shot. i havent had time to throw the cluster back in the car. was installing the gauges but work rolled around and i got hung up on a few things. now im working long shifts so im driving around without a dash and gauge cluster. kinda silly. but im just too tired to care.

Did it today. It works but i was 5 mph off. when i was doing 40 i was doing 35. I had a buddy drive along beside me to find that out. Then what i did was kept the needle loose to where it still went up when you drove and when i got to 5mph then i dropped the needle to 0 so that way i would be back to normal. I hope that it works out for you.
