QUOTE(azian_advanced @ Dec 7, 2005 - 11:03 PM) then add the camry supercharger.. exactly. I'm lookin to get the engine sometime in the spring to work on, then swap it in the summer, and then after a few years when i'm bored toss on the supercharger. 1mz-fe has around 210 hp stock. If things work out the way I want I'll have that through a 9 lb Fidanza flywheel to the MR2 turbo LSD tranny and heck who knows maybe some cams or somethin if i have the time and money. Either way a 210 hp v6 that weighs less than a 3sgte in an MR2 = fun! and a couple years down the road once I get bored I can toss on the TRD supercharger maknig that 276 hp with 4 lbs of boost under a warranty. Then you can change the supercharger pulley to get what toyota claims to be up to about 340 hp off of the same kit. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

If you wanted a fast car... you shouldn't have picked a 20V. Although the 20V will make the car faster... it's an acquire type of "fast". If you want to "feel" the speed... shoulda did something else. That's the thing about modding... it's never enough. Even the turbo guys get what I call "boost greed" and many of them end up braking stuff. The 20V along with all engines have as much potential as you're willing to spend and invest time with. There's no easy or cheap way to get speed.

all this talk about forced induction is crazy. you dont have to be turbo to be fast, anyways if your a real racer then you'll get more respect and props for having a fast all motor engine because anyone can out on a turbo or nos or a supercharger but it is those who really pay attention to their engines and tune them with time and expertise that get farthest in the world of modding. personally i have two cars right now a 1994 celica st that is all stock and a 1994 eclipse with a stock 95-99 JDM 4g63t(g-st motor), over all the eclipse is way faster and produces 210hp but ultimately i respect my celica more because of what i plan to do and the fact that it will be fast not because i spent money on a turbo but because i spent time and money on building a all motor champion.

Ya know... I build race n/a 4 bangers for a living and I just don't care or think about "street creds" or "respect" when it comes to being fast. Heheheh... *sigh*... n/a is GREAT for track use... but if you want power... NOTHING beats forced induction. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

I disagree. Not just anyone can turbo/super/nitrous-charge a car. o, and just so you know and dont get flamed later(because i've seen it happen a lot), it's not nos, thats a brand. its nitrous, or nitrous oxide. lol. I've had nitrous and installed it and it was pretty simple, but i dont think anyone with a car can do that. now im on my turbo project... trust me... lol. not just anyone can do that. you make it sound like it's very easy to do.-wess- -------------------- |
