3 Block "Series"
S Block Type G Head Type T Turbo Charged E Electronic Fuel Injection 4 Block "Series" A Block Type G Head Type Z Super Charged E Electronic Fuel Injection 3SGTE and 4AGZE are both legitimate names given to those engines by Toyota. 5SFTE, 7AFTE, 3SFTE, 4AFTE, 4AGTE are all ficticious names we as a community have given the NA engines that have been turbo'd. Other examples of ficticios names: 5SGTE which would be a 5SFE block with a 3SGTE head. Take away the T and you'd have the 5SGE, which would be a 5SFE block with a 3SGE head. One that you may have seen on this forum recently would be Nik's 7AGTE... 7AFE block 4AGZE head that has been turbo'd instead of super charged. the 3 u posted are turbocharged engines.
The 5sfte and 7afte are the stock 5sfe (american GT model) and 7afte (american ST model) with a 3sgte exaust head and turbo (im not sure about the headers part...) The "t" is the turbo. The 3sgte is the motor that is in the Japanese GT-4, which put down about 250hp to the wheels (if im not mistake, probally am tho) This motor is also turbocharged. (hense the "t") (anyone correct me where i am wrong) -------------------- Kawi Love |

The "t" is the turbo.- and no, it just means they are turbo. if you were using the head off the 3sgte you would have a 5sgte, or a 5sge. the "g" stands for the head type as wannabe said. 5afte and 7afte are not actual models of the engine. It's basically something we make up, becuase no GT or ST comes turbo, we add the T. -------------------- Buy my Celica $2,500 - http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0

Ok not to confuse the new guy, the 7agzte is completely impossible. Thats a 7afe with the 3sgte head, supercharged, then turbocharged, with electronic full injection....uh yeah so as Iluvmycelica95 put it best to me. TinaPisaniLaw: a 7a with a 3s head turbo supercharge, perhaps a jet engine yeah right, i got 15,000bhp lol Eat your heart out all u 3sgte drivers -------------------- Kawi Love |
