I just tried to test the power of my car the simple way, striaght line counting elephants as seconds.
0-60 in 7 elephants so im guessing my car is 0-60 in 7-8 seconds. COol It was like something out of GTA as i hit 60mph a police hellicopter went over head, i wish i took my camcorda to show you, it was mint. -------------------- |

I have a stop watch in my car to time every thing. Everywere I go, or 0-whatever times. It's a nice addition.

last time I heard celicas were like 11 second cars on 0-60 mph
if you meant 0-60 kilometers.. maybe 6 seconds.. so technically you were right when you said 6-7 seconds -------------------- Captain Pessimist

Or turnpike times, haha. -------------------- |

It's also a good way of solving arguements with friends on what is the fastest way to get places. That was the reason I finally got one. Turns out, I was right about the fastest way to get to the movies, but now I have proof. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

in this issue of car and driver...it says the 94 celica gt has a 0-60 in 8.7 secs...
here is a thread on it (with the issue)... http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=31213 ...i think they are probably right...it is more likely that the counting (and or stop watching) are off... what do you think? later, snap edit: here is the quote: "Toyota claims a 0-60 time of 8.7 seconds for the new GT" This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Dec 4, 2005 - 10:13 PM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

I think counting is in accurate, but stop watch is accurate. How do you think they test it? It's a lot more accurate if someone else does the timing. These cars are slow enough that it's easier too. If I had a car that would do 0-60 in something like 5-6 or less, it'd be harder to be accurate. I really don't see how you can compare a stopwatch with "counting elephants."
