BTW Your cusco twinplate is good for how much hp and how much torque? Sprung on non sprung?

cheers Joerg

my cusco twin plate is made by exedy for cusco. it has ceramatic discs. this twin plates can handle 500 to 750 bhp at crank. for more triple plate is required.

I can only imagine how sharp this clutch will be and how much paint it will give you if you gonna street drive your car Tuff biggrin.gif I did test drive of the EVO8 with 450 Hp and using almoost the same unit as a clutch and i stalled like 5-7 times... But once you add revs and drop the clutch its a heaven wink.gif

Good luck, cant wait to see it on the road again..

Looks like the build is progressing well. However, one of two little things concern me. You say you are after 500whp - just wondering if you are really expecting that amount. I honestly would be surprised if your engine will last with that sort of power thrown at it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to put your efforts down, just that I know what it's like to put a lot of time, effort and $ into an engine rebuild.
For starters, 9.0:1 CR, even with a thicker HG is potentially asking for major problems at higher boost levels. Water / methanol injection would certainly help stave off any potential detonation, but given the boost level which would be required to see 500whp, I doubt that it would cope.
Also, with such a large turbo, it would be extremely laggy on the road - unless I've missed the point and it's going to be a drag car wink.gif Max boost at 4300rpm isn't something I could live with every day.
272 deg cams are pretty wild. Good luck with getting it to idle wink.gif
Also, are you fitting an oil cooler? The stock item will not cope with 500whp full stop - especially in a climate like yours. I'm looking at around 320whp and even for that I'm going to be fitting one. AS for rad, as uzthedentist says, the Pace unit is nowhere near as good as the Koyo one. And Koyo is cheaper.
Good luck with the build, but remember that even a custom built motor has its limits and you really need to think carefully about what you are doing if you want it to last smile.gif
Cheers
Gary

İ Have 0.5 MM oversize pistons that will reduce CR a little. i am using 1.2 head hks gasget. didn't measured CR yet. you are right about detonation, the imporant think is tunning. with higher CR you can go same hp numbers with lower boost wink.gif
we are planning to make fine adjustments with adj. cam gears and fix idle proplem.
if you want big power you should look for it at higher rpms.

doubt it.

full boost at 4300rpms and turbo lag = good daily driver gas mileage. theres a few guys running gt35s and gt30s on 2zz-gtes and making 400+ FWHP, and no oil cooler im sure he will be fine, the 2zz puts out way more heat in lift than the 3s could ever think of.

Yeah, and that's about it. What the heck happen to all them pretty parts you had on it? It even looks like it's got oil all over it. Was there an accident or something? hp is all that matters anyway, and I'm sure this thing will have it's fair share of it.

I'm surpised that you haven't renewed the heat sleeve on the oil cooler water line. Given its close proximity to the turbo, it is at risk from being damaged by radiant heat. You wouldn't want that pipe to split etc kindasad.gif

I used some new heat reflective sleeving on mine to ensure it will last...
