it looks pretty nice, but the ebay description on it would scare me away .

Its a nice setup with the AWIC. I looked at a similar intercooler on EBay once but thought it was alot bigger than that.

I personally think that a good water to air intercooler setup is the best route for the MR2, where you don't really get much airflow out back.

If you can score it cheap, yeah, it's a great starting point.

QUOTE(lagos @ Mar 1, 2006 - 12:33 PM) just keep in mind that the IC setup will not fit under the hood of a celica. I bet it will if you relocate your battery and fusebox and do a little tweaking to the IC piping. I've seen it done on a 5th gen and it looks decent. Granted, it was a 3SGTE but I still think it's do-able. Was that on a 5SFE though? Regardless it's still going to have to be tweaked a bit to get it just right. The piping that comes with the kit will push the intercooler to far from the motor so it's going to need to be redesigned any way. The intercooler looks like it'll fit without a problem though if it's done something like scothaniel's. -------------------- Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |

That turbo/ IC kit on ebay is pretty good. IC is probably efficiant for 350 HP and would cost around $700 new. The blown CT26 isn't worth much - I've seen good ct26's with upgrade selling for $400. As for IC piping, if it doesn't fit, make it fit! I used a front-mount kit from a Skyline on my wife's 6th gen, and I dont weld. I can operate a chop-saw though (pull down lever -ooooooo). You just put the IC where you want it and start cutting. -------------------- Scott
