I'm currently saving up to buy a X-Runner. Has lots of pro's. Its a truck, more practical. Nice platform for future engine mods. Will be able to do more custom hand work on the celica because I would be able to park it for extended times. Decent gas mileage. Shouldnt have much issues w/ a brand new truck. Also the celica would get less road time so my next paint job will not get the abuse of rock chips.
Cons, less money flow for celica. Would drop issurance on celica for a little while. Less money flow...lol Idk, I'm leaning heavily towards buying the truck. Honestly I want something new and nice which I wont have to play w/ because its already nice. Also how pimp would it be to drive up in my X-Runner towing my celica. And frankly the truck will be able to get more power than the 5sfe would ever be able to produce. Comments let me know. Cost me around 320-340 a month. Insurance be under 200 a month I'll be making around 1200, after taxes, a month after january. Currently making like 2K after taxes. |

Well, I bought an Xterra over the summer and I'd have to say that I am very pleased. It is so much more practical than the was celica for me at this point. You get so much more cargo and passenger space, plus you get 4WD and I'm sure the X-runner would be better in an accident.
The only cons I could see for you were the same ones I looked at. Lower gas mileage, higher insurance, and car payments for the next 5 years. |

But the X-Runner is 2WD, its made more like a sports car then a truck. Its only 7" off the ground. Ur thinking of the 4Runner, i'm looking at the Tacoma X-Runner |

That's not so good at all. Hows the weather up there in Overland Park? -------------------- Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |
