There isn't a lot of members on here who have silver tops in their cars. There has been a lot of topics on it though. I'm sure if you search around, you'll find almost all the info you need. Searching lets you compare the options more fully than to have someone explain the differences too. That way you can make your own opinion instead of having someone tell you theirs. Good luck.

Gotta love those ITBs. I hear it's a nice high-revving engine.
Edit: What's the powerband like on those? This post has been edited by Cutrara: Dec 18, 2005 - 8:26 PM -------------------- |

Curious: what EMS to control the ITB setup w/boost?

Here are two of the four that I've done:
'91 Corolla: '89 MR2: Yes, it's easier and cheaper than a 3SGTE. [Freemantle], that engine has a MegasquirtN'EDIS setup, same as the silvertop in the MR above is getting. -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

QUOTE(Cutrara @ Dec 19, 2005 - 1:26 AM) Edit: What's the powerband like on those? It's not an FE head... hehe... so it's an aquired taste for those Toyota folk who have never driven a peaky engine. The torque band is nice... balanced curve all the way till 6000 rpms or so... and the horsepower is right up till the redline at 7500. Mine's modded... so I'm planning on spinning it upwards of 8000-8500 rpms depending on what sort of results I get. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
