I looked at the how to. And noticed when you change the color in your gauge cluster you can barely see the gauges at night? I'm wanting to change them to red. Does anyone have pics of what there's look like, and or know how to be able to change the color and still be able to see the whole cluster?

there are lines but they're hard to see since I used blue. The blue light hits the red redline area and turns it purple. If you use a red LED I'm supposing that it will show up just fine

You'll need 3 bulbs, they're a 194 wedge style bulb.

I think red would show up well. I can't remember who it was on here that did theirs in red and it looked pretty good.

I think it was one of the girls on the site that did theirs in red. Not sure. But yeah, it'll come out just fine. I did mine in blue and the redlines do come out a dark dark blue so you can hardly see it but in the day time, you can see it perfectly. You need 3 #194 5Matrix LEDs. I got mine from autolumination.com. Very good bulbs. Removing the gauges is pretty simple. It's just a couple of screws. Common sense. The Matrix bulbs are good at distributing light evenly so it looks real good.

I dont think red would be a good colour
to have in the cluster, because you'll
find that when you look at red for a while
your eyes will begin to hurt. This is what I found
out in my friends car when he had red neons in it.
Here is mine

^damn, i never really thought about that. it could be true. howvere, neons and leds are 2 different things so maybe you can ask one of the people on the site that have the red gauges to see what they say about that. because i heard that about blue too and mine are perfect. looks like the car shoulda came with those. lol. but if anything, white would be a good alternative.

my last batch of autolumination matrixes hung over the side to o much to be inserted into the gauge cluster from behind. a little work with a file might've been able to fix them.

though this place has some cheaper matrix leds. that (when i bought them about a week ago) didn't hang over the side very much.

not a very well organized site, gotta click on the 194 then search for 194 to get them.

Ya, But everyone has to remember that if the lights start getting irritating all ya gotta do is use the dimer that dims the dash lights. I'm still looking for someone thats on the site that has red gauges. But havn't found yet. But thanks for the input and everything guys.

Ya but Lagos do you have any other interior color in your car? my acsent color is red and black in my interior. So i'm doing everything red. And i'm thinking im gonna do the gauges red and then the RPM and Spadometer lines are gonna be a white LED. i think that would look good.

Yeah. Mines wouldn't even fit through the back. Had to put em in through the front and attach them to the socket in the back... I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem tho except me and you.
