okay so I got my car out of the shop today after FINALLY having the rear konis installed. I didn't want to weld anything so I had them do it. long story short my mechanic also decided to replace the sway bar link because he knew I was getting thicker anti-sway bars in the near future.
well, he did it without asking but I didn't want to say anything because he is always looking out for me. but when I got home I looked up the suspension tech sway bars and a honda install said they completely replace the link and bolt directly to the struts. is this true for the celica ones as well? if so my mechanic installed something unecesary and now I am pissed. thnx peeps. |

its true, the sway bar replaces the link. I had the same problem when I did my konis. My sway bar link broke and had to debate a full replacement, a temp fix, or sway bars. I went for the temp fix because I plan on getting sway bars.

thanks for the reply.
so I'm out 100 dollars for something I don't even need in the long run. I coulda had sway bars for a little extra too. Irritating to say the least. |
