I bought my gf this ring for our 1 year. Took her to tiffanys and told her to pick something on this side of the room (cheaper side).

I hate beating around the bush... I just tell her to pick what you want... It's better than buying her something and her pretending to like it. smile.gif

jewlery is nice but im also one of those girls who cant wear anything that isnt gold cuz ill break out in a rash. (lucky guy that gets to date me) haha!

My wife is the same way. I bought her a pair of platinum/diamond earrings once and she still wears them after five years because they don't make her ears itch. I think I paid less than a $100 for the pair after negotiating. Earrings are by far the least expensive jewelry to buy.

This is true, and you have an ugly birthstone. smile.gif
I would do both diamonds and then put the names, diamonds are better anyway. My ex and I had the same birthstone which could have worked, if he wasn't a lying cheating bastard that is smile.gif .

whatever gift you decide to get her, get this too: buy some flowers and a DVD of the very first movie you guys saw in the theater. Then you guys can have a romantic night IN, and its cheap. the sentimental value is priceless though wink.gif

awesome idea about the first movie you saw together! aww itd be even cuter if he had the ticket stub then put it in the plastic part of the dvd cover! hmm ill keep that in mind for my next boyfriend..keep the ticket stub then a while down the line get the dvd. nice idea :-D

eh not too big on flowers myself! nice gesture but id rather have them sent to my work on a random day than for a holiday!

I bought my gf a mood ring and when she is happy it turns green, and when she is mad it leaves a big f**King red mark on my forehead. Stick with diamonds.

laugh.gif I'm not good with jewelry and stuff... so I was at the mall yesterday browsing around for gifts.
I saw this jacket at abercrombie and fitch... I remember her pointing it out like 3 weeks back. I was running out of time so I went ahead and bought it. I'll post up some pix when I get some. man, I would love to buy her some jewelry but it was so crazy yesterday. Every store was packed.. so I said "screw it, I'll get the jacket instead." tongue.gif .. but I'm going to the mall again today, might get her something else maybe try to go to tiffanys again because I don't think one jacket would cut it.. THAnks for the help guys

if u get a necklace stay away from the heart one with a small diamond in it - thats too popular and doesnt really show u put thought into it! it seems like u saw an ad for a 99 dollar one and then bought it just like everyone else!

the two birthstones is an awesome gift!
