hey coomer, i have an idea. can we get a chat room to go along with each different forum, like a room for engine mods, another for suspension, you get the idea. i dont know if this has been mentioned before but i see alot of people online and would like to talk to them rather then send them an instant message or private message. how bout it?

I wouldn't call it whining. More like stating a fact. wink.gif K2 is right about none of the rooms ever being busy, plus it would slow down the server, use a lot of bandwidth, and probably violate my host's terms of service.

yea i doubt that there are enough people on at once to keep the chat going as well....its not like yahoo or something like that.

EDIT: Don't worry coomer neipas is bald so if he ever makes fun of you just call him bald and he will stop.

Slowing down the server and using bandwith? Are you talking about Natalie or chatrooms? Ohhh ok..

What about IRC?

alot of multi protocol IM clients have IRC too. trillian etc.

Only thing is that to be useful there needs to be quite a few people using it.

You could run a bot in an irc channel, and use a java applet to link to that.. all we are talking about is text here. But it all depends on whether it would be used or not I spose.
