im about to purchase new sway bar end links for my car (since my ol ones are all wore out)..but im not so sure on how to install. it looks like an easy unbolt and remove, then install and bolt on the new ones, but i dont want any surprises..c what im sayin..so i just want to make sure i dont have to jack up the car for any reason or have to mess with anythin else. Im sure someone knows exactly how to install the new end links, so if u do..please write me a quick how-to..

PB blast the nuts real good and work them back and forth with your 14mm wrench and allen wrench...they can be a pain to get off most of the time because of rust. You may need to use a wire brush bit on a drill to clean up the threads.

Those are a pain, both of mine wouldn't come off so I had to cut them with a sawz-all. The best trick since they are rusted already is to use the two wrenchs at the same time so that you don't overthread. Then take them off carefully. You might just have to cut them and then drill them out.

heres what to do.
spray the old links down really well with PB blaster like 15min before you start,
put a 14mm boxed end wrench over the old end link bolt, turn it, to break it loose from the mounting tab.
then
get a 5mm allen SOCKET.
this is what it looks like:

hammer it into the old endlink.
attach a wrachet to the socket, and use that to hold the bolt in place, and turn the 14mm WRENCH, not the socket.

ya i too ended up cutting them i thought it was jus me but looks like everyone else had the same problem. i bought moog brand ones and they got rid of the allen head part and just had a place to put a 14 mm wrench on it so you can use two wrenches when installing it. i payed like 8 bucks for the swaw bar linkages.

front? rear? both? where? $8 is a lot better than what my local parts stores are trying to rip me off for.

Moog doesn't make any thats that cheap. Unless, you bought some cheap a55 knock of universal type links. And trust me they are cheap and look like crap. Nowhere near the original quality. Just think of a cheap metal bar with 2 loose rubber ends. Thats what moog sells, cause I sell them once every week to some poor GM or ford souls.

53$ each from the dealer per side.

Ill grab the part number if anyone requests it, I figured to go nothing past OEM at this point.

All 4 allens stripped on mine even with 4 hours of PB blaster and tons of soaking, I just drilled all them little bast@rds out and hooked up the new ones.

i'll take pics of em. i get em from a parts place called dirty dave's it's the best prices around. i don't understand how they can stay in business. i found the receipt for what i payed it was a lil under 15 bucks so i wasn't off by that much. and they were mcquarry norris sl240 is the part number. and i also got the ball joints for like 25 bucks at the same place. i checked on cskproshop cuz i have a business account with them and i can get the sway bar linkages as a set meaning for the rear both sides. and the fronts were the same price for 35 bucks. so all togther it would be 70 bucks. they are even thicker in size than the stock chinsty ones. you are getting ripped off at 50 bucks a pop haha.
