Ive noticed that A LOT of people here are getting more and more immature and obnoxious. People say that we're "FAMILY" here, but everybody bashes "n00bs" and then say use the search function and thats it !! That is so hypocritical. Secondly, EVERYTHING you need to know has already been answered in these forums so if ur only response is "use the search button" then theres no point to these forums at all and Coomer might as well just get rid of the exterior and general discussion parts of the forums. If u dont have anythin nice to say or dont have anythin to say other than "use the search button," then just shut ur mouth and leave the thread alone. NOBODY here came into 6gc.net with a FULL knowledge of our cars so stop acting like u were born with this knowledge. If you say we're family, then start acting like it. As far as i know, we're far from a "family" and some of u guys are just bein hypocritical. Im not gonna mention any names cuz u know who u r and that'll just cause more clutter. Im out.

in less harsh words, yeah quite a few people get upset and post things they should not, wile at the same time its pretty self exsplanitory as far as how to post, and when/where to do so.

i guess I can see how it gets frustrating to see the same posts over and over again... but i do agree that people shouldn't be so harsh.

Edit: did i miss something though cause i haven't see anyone going off in any posts today...

COME ON GUYS! Dont be so freaking sensitive. There is NOTHING disrespectful in that thread. You people need to remember this is just some silly internet board and not let the things people type get to you.

Well, since I am perceived as one of the "meanies" I will give you some relief - its one of my new year's resolutions to do considerably less posting and do more car building. The more you learn the more you realize that the people with knowledge can more easily be contacted privately rather than through the message board. It saves a HUGE amount of time and you get more accurate feedback. The only downside is that the community is not benefitted by the shared knowledge. However, since people keep getting offended by direct, straight forward answers to questions, I am beginning to care less and less about that.

Some people post really stupid topics in the offtopic forums sometimes. And are getting quite immature. Why do most people on here want to make their cars look like a GT-FOUR?

I honestly don't think anyones being mean to anybody. When a noob post's a thread then the people that know about it try and help them then tell them next time to search before you post. Thats not being mean at all. And if the people that post somthing want answeres and the people that tell them there answeres are telling them straight how it is. and if the person that posted it gets mad cause they were being mean then they shouldn't have posted it. Thats how i figure it. But i think this forum is the best on the internet.

Frankly this reminds me of my post in that thread about Phat_boi's swapped Celica. Some of you may have seen it.

Shape up people, we don't wanna make a bad name for this site. That thread was pretty bad...not to point fingers but it went on WAY longer than it should have and a moderator should have stepped in earlier and taken action. I noticed one mod even participating in the thread, letting it continue and snowball. This upset me greatly. I haven't seen Coomer on for a while but I want to talk to him and have make a 'State of the Forums' address.

Have a good day.

They shouldn't be called a noob that might be offensive to them. Just call them a new member.

i alwasy try to help people out... but i got to tell you, it gets a little old getting the same basic questions asked to you on a daily basis about stuff thats already well documented. so thats why some of us just say, search... cause we know that at some point in time we typed out a long ass post with the intention of helping others.

but i do agree, if its a baisc question like "can i put a 3stge into my car" sometimes it would take less effort to just say " yes" then it would to type out a long rant about how the guy should be searching for this info.

You guys dont know how good you have it. People are always goign to give newbs a hard time, its like a hazing. Nobody goes over the line, its all in good fun. Why dont you go over, register on Supraforums, ask some of the same kinds of questions as you do here, and watch what they say, and how they treat people. This place is teh CandyLand of internet forums, if your complaining about here, you need to gtfo my internets.

Oh, yeah and this belongs in WEBSITE DISCUSSION.

I saw nothing wrong with that thread, someone was told to look at the sticky's and some other people posted links to the sticky's. I think everyone should spend a certain amount of time lurkin on the site before they join and should research things on their own.

i dont really see what ure bitching about. j/k. lol. i know what u mean bro. theres a lot of people that are very mean and theres some that swear they invented a car and they know it all. but i love it. its true. theres many other forums online and this to me, is a very friendly place compared to those. you have to remember that everyone is going to havea different personality and way of being. not everyone is going to be nice and answer your questions asap because all these ppl have lives and arent on here all day. but the ones that are here all day have probably seen every post and it gets tiring to them. i dunno, i try to have fun with it. 6GC IS THE SH!T :-)

i think no matter what any of us do to try and make it more easier to find certain thread or stickys like on swaps or any other thing, there is always goin to be people new to the forums and like it or not theyre not always going to read the stickys or search, so as long as we point them in the right direction in a friendly matter, I dont see a problem.
