So ive been seeing this guy since the 1st of December and I was at his house on x-mas day just chillin and watching tv and he was silent so I was like umm what are you thinking and he was like “I was thinking that I want you to be my girl” and I paused like they do on the MTV show NEXT when they have to decide if they wanna go on a second date or take the money then I said ok and pecked him. But now im like umm whats the definition of girl and its not like he was like WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND? He just said that he was thinking that he wanted me to be his girl. So whats this mean in boy terms? I don’t wanna ask him cuz then ill look dumb but im not about to go change my myspace to IN A RELATIONSHIP if it doesn’t mean were in an exclusive one on one relationship.

Why not just ask him? That is the beauty of men, they aren’t very complex. If you ask them they will give you a straight answer, unless the TV is on then you get nothing. lol! Yeah, I would just ask him, what did you mean by that, you want me to be your girlfriend? he may have meant that he wanted you to be his gf, but with the way alot of guys are, he probly isnt real serious about the gf thing he just wants you to think about what he said, just like your doing now.
why, you ask....well just a way to show you hes interested. Its hard to say unless you judge his expression when he sid it, but i know of many guys who say stuff like that to girls just messing with them, trying to make them nervous or something........ but who knows......... |

haha yeah i have a habit of asking what someones thinking if its quiet! but usually the answer is some dirty answer! haha! i figure though he wouldnt have said "that i want u to be my girl" if he didnt want me to even have that thought in my head cuz that could be trouble if a guy said that! eh i dont know! whatev..ill give it 2 weeks and re-evaluate!

Sounds like he wants to see you exclusively. Kind of interesting that he says this on XMas day, like it is some kind of XMas present for you to be his girl. In your evaluation of the relationship so far, do you think he is a genuine guy, and he was being honest? Have you had fun with him and enjoyed his conversation and company? If so, it may be real. If you have been seeing him almost a month, he probably knows what kind of direction he wants this thing to go. You are young, take a chance...

yeah we have an awesome time together...we joke around alot and see eachother 1-2 times a week. he sees me on all his days off because our work schedules are completely opposite. I work 8am-5pm and he works 10pm-7am. but yeah we have a blast.

In all seriousness, you are right that women are generally more indecisive, emotional, and coy about what they say and do when it comes to relationships. I always despised the girls that kept a boyfriend but they were prepared to dump them if something better came along. Why didn't they just move on? Its almost like they can't bear the thought of being alone. I had a buddy that had a girlfriend like that.
