the welds arent the whole problem with those. the real isse is that they are made of really thin gauge stainless that might crack after a while. who cares tho, put it on, and see how long it lasts. at least we will have someone who did some real world testing on it.

Yeah I will make two statements. Nothing turbo related since it's far from my field.

If you plan on working on a car, PB Blaster is always something you should have on hand. It will do wonders, it has a few applications too, read the bottle.

Craftsman tools from Sears are awesome. Lifetime warranty I THINK.

got the awd tranny off. the 5speed 5s tranny should be on later today.
everything is coming together pretty well so far.
whats left? put the engine harness on.
drop it in. and attach all the crap. right?

yeah manny it fits fine the only thing that hit was the bracket that the chains attach to to lift the motor out.
i just grinded a few mm's off. fits fine.

Make sure you change the hose from hell, and the hose from hell on earth while you have that engine and turbo out. Also there is a small coolent hose on the back of the engine under the intake manifold you should change with the engine out. It may not seem like a big deal but mine had a hole in it and it took me an hour just to change the little hose in the back of the engine. Something that would have taken 5 minutes with the engine out.

3sgte Pressure plate with a 5sfe clutch disc to show the size difference and why its best to get a clutch made from Spec. that way u have the right diameter like lagos said.
