Wat Up! Well, me and my friend were planning to paint my car. I am a little strep for money, so he suggested that we just spray paint it. My paint now is junk, the guy I bought the car from didn't take care of it like he should have. The clear coat is coming off and there are plenty of discolored places on my car. I think this is common, like the hood, and the roof the paint is a little how do you say BLAH!!!. So my friend said, lets spray paint it. Good idea?

Save the money, and do a quality job...
or, if you have a couple hundred bucks, go to macco and have them slap on some paint for cheap<<that is probably YOUR best option...macco jobs stink, but will probably be better than the rattle... Search about this, there is a ton of good links here ... ~snap edit: here is a good link to read... http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=32891 This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Feb 13, 2006 - 9:33 PM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

I guess you can have an attempt at it.
But the most important part of painting is the body prep. Bulldog can give you some tips since he works in a body shop. -------------------- 98 ST204 ZR - Black Beauty - Roaming the streets of Sydney 73 TA22 LT - Tiffany Blue - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 75 TA22 LT - Snow White - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 77 RA28 LT - Flubber Green - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 94 MX-5 NA8 Clubman - Red Racer - Looking for corners WIP Project: 69 RT40 Corona, 2nd WIP Project: 66 RT40 1600s Corona 86 Corona RT142 - Daily Driver 6GC 4 Life Baby!!! |
