I found a TOM's TRD Levin AE111 Engine for sale off of the TRD website. Its going for sale at a price of $11,000, but it is a 1.8L 4age 20V blacktop engine or a 1.6 20V head on a 1.8L block. Do you guys think that its worth it to save my A** off for the next 5-10 years and just buy the engine and drop it in the celica, or should I just mod my current 20V 4age into the TRD version and spend way more?? Im looking for that ancient power where I can rev the engine all the way to the 11K rpm if thats even possible....Im starting to think thats why I got the 4age now.....(Dam u Inital D!!! Shakes fist at computer)

Click here to visit the engine

If I were you, I'd mod what I have. Get yourself a 7a block, and put the 4age head on it. Bigger bore 4age. Then just do all the intake, exhaust, cams, flywheel, pistons, ITB, engine management. You could have a nice 200-250 hp NA motor if you do it right. That'll be a really fun car, and still cheaper than 11K. And you can build as you go.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Initial D is a CARTOON. That engine will pretty much bog and die if you try to drive it below 4000 rpms... so NO. Not realistic.

HA, 3sge that is a real motor. Get a 3sge, go higher compression 11-1 is about the best you can do TRD does make 13.5 to 1 but that requires race fuel, rebuild the top end as well with 280 cams or something nuts like that, nice pewter valves and such. Add a pretty header and ITB.
