Hey everyone, I have been browsing these forums for about 5 or 6 months now trying to learn as much as I can about the 6th generation celica. I finally registerd a couple months ago yet I have still have not posted. So I thought what better time than now to say hi. I currently do not own a celica, but I plan too. For now I am just trying to gain as much knowledge as possible so when I do get one I know what im doing and what I want to do to it. And believe me I already have a pretty big list of mods I would like to do. Also Sometime in the last months I decided I wanted a 96 - 99, I believe this was because I read something about it being easier to find certin parts for the later models. Yet I'm not sure exacally what parts those are so I was wondering if someone could explain the differences between the 94-95 ones and the 96-99 ones, besides what it says about the engines and the hp.

Thanks - Jeremy

yea. like super said, just the bumper and obd(94-95 is obd1 and 96-99 is obd2). i got a 94 with a 98-99 steering wheel and 96-99 bumper and i tell people its a 99. even tho i dont think coupes were made in 99. i think the last year was what 97 or 98? someone confirm cuz im an idiot. lol. anyway, i got the 94 cuz it was way cheaper. celis are way overpriced here. even the 94s now are like at least 6,000 in miami. so i got mine real cheap from sum guy that was a manager at a yota dealer. so i knew it was well taken care of and all. if i could go back, i'd get any year hatchback gt manual and make it look as close to a gt4 as possible. everything minus awd. post pics of the car when you get it and welcome to the community!

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Its actually a song that has a funny chorus and I had told my friend I wanted to change my screen name and I was singing the song and he suggested I use it as my screen name. I thought it sounded like a good idea so I did Now it is my screen name everywhere. If you or someone else is offended by it I wouldnt mind changing it or reregistering or whatever I would have to do, never had a problem with that before.

welcome, silly SN... it makes me giggle.

You guys forgot that the 96-99 came with the option of side skirts and the 94-95 didnt. smile.gif

The stuff from the 96-99 will fit the 94-95 though, like the front bumper, ie. I have a 97 front on my 95, and side skirts off a 98 i think. Also i think in 97or 98 (i forget which)they dropped the ST modle all together. Thats all i remember. I think we basically covered it all?

Petaluma is about an hour away from me. And with captain save a ho, i've only heard it in E-40s song Lt. Roast a botch btw an excellent song. is that where you've heard it, or from somewher else?

Yeah that song is the first place I ever heard it, pretty much where I got it from. I think E-40 has an annoying flow on a lot of his songs but I really like that one. That's cool that you live so close what town?
